Ivy POV I stood outside in the cold morning air, every breath felt like inhaling glass shards, the below zero temperatures sucking warmth from my bones, still I remained, my body shuddering violently, waiting for him. I heard a chuckle, not bothering to turn around, I instead listened to his heavy footfalls as he approached. "Well Ivy, You look like you're suffering in this weather, why are you up so early?" Broc asked, a cruel curiosity in his voice. "I was waiting for you, I refused to lay in bed, when we have things to do." I reply, my voice sounding cold and distasteful towards him. "Well you really are ready to get down to it and learn my secrets aren't you, hmm?" Broc chuckled, the sound grating on my ears only adding to my foul mood.  I shuddered again, only this time out of impatience. "So what would you like to know?" Broc asked, I slid my gaze to him, as he comes up beside me in his wolf form, eyeing me with his sideways gaze, his wolf lips pulling back in a display of teeth. "I'd like to know why you're are still alive for one?" I asked my tone barely mild, He broke our gaze first, looking away, feigning boredom. "Part of being the most powerful Alpha, I also get to live forever though as you can guess, after a thousand years one grows tired of living, watching friends grow old and die whilst you live on, it's a torment like no other." He says, he tries to hide it but I could hear an undertone of sadness. "Cruel is a scorned goddess it seems." He adds with a shrug, before sitting on his haunches, it was still weird to stand next to a wolf that spoke with a human voice, rather then through the mind-link, for a moment I remained silent. We each looked ahead, out over the tree filled valley below us, the cliffs edge only a few meters in front of us. "But you found a way to change that didn't you Broc." I say calmly into the silence, he scoffs in surprise, looking at me, I meet his gaze, his eyes narrow. "I couldn't know what you mean by that, my darling." He drawls, his lightless black eyes blink once, making me shiver. I lift my head higher, meeting his gaze, I watch as he stiffens at the lack of fear he finds in my eyes. "Yes you do, I do not believe you do exist alone, anymore." I press, he smirks at this. "Of course I'll no longer exist an eternity alone.." He words trail off, his tone now causing me to stiffen. "I've got you to keep me company don't I?"  I focus on keeping my face impassive, internally I'm both surprised and annoyed. "You do not have me, Broc." I reply, ready to leave this conversation, I can try again later. I turn to leave, as he speaks, stopping me. "You are unmated, unmarked and your innocence intact, your scent is...enticing to put it lightly." He says huskierly. I wait for him to continue, when he doesn't, I look back to where he sits, his pitless eyes meet mine, and I swallow at what I find there. His gaze is like a silent movie, a picture appears out of the blackness of his eyes, he shows me an image of me... naked, sweaty and writhing beneath him on clean white sheets, my body bucks under him as he looks down at me, his hands grip the sheets either side of my head, he movement is rhythic, he's thrusting...I look up at him, my eyes sparkle with lust, need and satisfaction? I close my eyes, shaking my head, I bite down on the inside of my cheeks; hard.  I then feel them flush in reaction to what I'd just seen, I can feel a heat between my legs, I'm wet. I hear Broc chuckle, I open my eyes, watching as his wolf shakes silently, as he tries poorly to suppress his laughter. "Now I can also smell you're arousal my darling...It'd be so easy to take you..." He said, I take up a defensive position in answer. "But I won't because I want you to come to my bed, willingly..." He adds, his eyes meet mine. "You know I would never.." I start to say, but Broc interrupts. "You say that now, but things can change.." He says shrugging. A growl rips from my throat, Broc looks surprise, but only shakes his head again. "Well it seems that it's a no for now, so why are you here, my darling?" He says, his voice tired and bored again. "I was hoping you could tell me." I replied with a shrug, trying to force myself to relax again. "Well did the goddess give you anything of interest when she sent you to me?" When I look confused he adds, "Any information of interest?"  I can feel the weight of his gaze on me, as I think, turning to face him again, something comes to mind. "I can trade something with you." I replied, he looks curious. "Oh and what do you have to offer?" He asks. "Mortality for you, a chance to finally die." He looks offended and surprise, before a smirks spread across his wolves features.  "In exchange for?" He asks, I shuddered at his expression, swallowing I answer. "For the secret of immortality you've discover." He looks at me again, carefully. "I believe my secret is worth more, than what you're offering...I don't particularly care to die as much these days, since I moved here." Brocs says with a indifferent voice, I growl, I know he has something up his sleeve. "What would you prefer in exchange?" I ask, my gut twisting as his eyes snap to mine, I know I've walked into the waiting web of a spider. "I want you." He says, as my mouth goes dry, my mind blank at his words. "Are you not the goddess's gift to me?" he adds his gaze burning into mine. Did the goddess know this when she sent me? That the price would be me, again.
