Chapter 1
After the failed attempt to escape the wedding, I was captured and imprisoned by William.
In order to leave, I remained silent and starved myself, growing thinner and paler by the day.
William spent all his time by my side, even kneeling for me to eat just one more bite.
Until Jessica, William's resurrected ex-wife, appeared beside him, and for the first time, there was a rare smile on his face.
During the celebration banquet for Jessica's return, I simply gagged while eating.
William flipped the table.
"What have I done to deserve your hatred so much?" he glared at me.
"You won't even eat a bite when you're by my side! You won't eat, huh? Well, then you only deserve to eat trash!"
William shoved garbage from the trash can into my mouth.
"Why don't you just go die? Stop torturing me, please!"
After saying that, he turned and left.
Inside me, my wolf, Nora, was whimpering softly.
I looked at William's retreating figure without speaking, sitting on the ground to finish eating the carefully cooked food.
Then, I vomited large amounts of blood.
Looking at the blood on the floor, I slowly recalled what the Pack Doctor had said.
"You are in the late stages of stomach cancer. If you control your diet, you may manage to hold on a little longer."
My wolf Nora, with tears dripping, said in my heart: "Olivia, you can't keep hurting yourself like this..."
I stopped stuffing food into my mouth.
Taking a bottle of pills from my pocket, I swallowed a few tablets and struggled to rise from the floor.
Then I cleaned up the blood and the mess.
I didn't want to trouble William anymore.
Finally, after cleaning, I suddenly spat out a large mouthful of blood.
The villa's heating was very warm, but I felt cold in waves.
Even taking medicine was no longer effective.
I wrapped myself in William's clothes and hid in the bathroom.
I soaked my body in warm water, finally feeling a little better.
I smelled the lingering scent of William on the clothes.
Only then did I realize what was about to happen.
How strange.
Even though I had made up my mind to leave,
I began to miss the warmth in William's embrace.
For the first time in such a long time, I took the initiative to call William.
The phone was answered, and I could hear laughter and cheering from the other side, followed by Jessica's sweet voice.
"William, today's the celebration banquet for my return, come cut the cake!"
William's voice, still with a laugh, carried a rare lightness.
"What's up? Do you want me to come back and be with you?"
At a time when consciousness was weak, I almost blurted out "yes."
But before I could answer, William rejected me.
"I have things to do tonight, stop bothering me."
I heard the sound of people cheering in the background.
"William, my stomach hurts so much, please let me go," I begged.
“I’ll run far away, I won’t let you find my body.”
William's voice suddenly grew cold.
"I wondered why you suddenly called me, turns out you want to escape again."
He said coldly:
"Olivia, is it only when I’m slightly happy that you come to ruin it? You only want me to beg you like a dog!"
I heard him sigh.
"Do you know what? I'm really tired."
The call was ruthlessly disconnected.
