BEYOND THE CRIME SCENE

LIFE AT NEWTOWN. The unexpected Newtown is getting busy. traffic glares winkled from distance, there was a huge jam, resulting from multiple cars which plugged the road, police siren wailing from afar. A minute later, her phone rang and; "Hey baby" "Hi honey" replied with a smile on her face. "How was the day at work?" "Urgh!.. It is the tensest day ever on this job. I hate Mondays" she added vaguely. “I'm on the thirteenth avenue, stuck in traffic, I should be home in a couple of minutes" replied, plopping an overwrought face-up. “Are you off work yet?" inquired curiously "Damn, sorry about that baby the city is getting messed up lately, I'm hung up at work right now, can you stop over at the store to get some groceries baby? if that is not too much work on you"- He said. "Copy that!" she acknowledges with a big grin on her face. Bye baby" the phone beeped, as she ends the call. She drives gradually off the traffic as it seems to be in control. Less than a minute off the traffic, There were numerous gunshots about forty meters off the thirteenth avenue. At New town police department "33-10, Shots fired! Officer down requesting immediate backup, I repeat I need back up"- An officer radioed out to the control room. "Copy that officer, men are on their way"- A woman at the control replied promptly "Command to all personnel, We've got two officers caught up in a shooting on the thirteenth alley. We need any unit out there right now," the woman said over the radio frantically. Sergeant Ola Johnson and Wilson were having a doughnut about five minutes away from the shooting. "Copy that! ma'am. We are roughly five minutes out" He replied, "Wait! Rebecca was just there about a minute ago" He pondered. "s**t! come on Wils! Let's go man!" he replied as they both surged to the car. "She is not taking her calls,"- mumbled angrily as he dialed Rebecca's phone. "Easy man! she's going to be fine," Wilson said resting his arm on Ola's shoulder. About 4Minutes later, Sgt Johnson and Wilson arrived at the shooting scene. "Serg! we got about four armed robbers at the back of that building," one of the officers said. Johnson went to one of the officers who had been shot and said; Jeff? Are you okay? show it to me.. how bad is it? he asked frantically. "He took two shots to the leg and his bowel, is he gonna be fine? Come on! Stay with me, partner!" The officer shrieked as he lifts jeff. As the duo was walking towards the building, the female voice Over the radio sounded again "There is a report of car h****k North of the 13th avenue, a black prima family van, license plate "NT XMG678", there is an additional account of a female hostage in the van" "That's her vehicle, how the hell did they get to her?" He asked rhetorically. "Common Wils!, we have to get to these guys, they have my wife," he said with a clear voice. "Copy that ma'am, be advised 33-10 this is Wilson, we are on a chase, black prima van, license plate "NT XMG678" "We are heading North of 13th Avenue towards New town city port, requesting backup, Over?" voice over the radio said; "That's good copy sergeant! we are sending men towards your position" Less than a minute into the chase, Sgt Ola's Phone rang, it was Rebecca. "Baby? Baby are you okay?, hang in there baby I'm coming to get you out" Sgt Ola said as he muttered slowly with his voice shaking A rumbled voice over the phone chuckled awkwardly and said; "Listen, sergeant, we all about you, we know all you do, you make one wrong move, you're gonna have to be arranging her brain if you ever get to see her again. We won't hurt her, This is just a notification, fresh blood!" "Next time you won't have the chance to talk to her "Okay stop the car! Get out of the car. Now!" The phone beeped as the call ends Shortly, about ten minutes later they arrived at the location she was dropped. "Baby?"- He called, as they survey restlessly "Rebecca?" Wilson yelled loud "Babe?!!!!" "Come on! say, something babe!" he muttered and dialed the phone again He could hear the pitch of Rebecca's phone faded indistinct. "Wilson, come over, I can hear her phone from distance"- he said as they progress towards the location of the phone. Traumatized Rebecca sits in shock at the corner of an aground building, fidgeting as though she had stood in the rain. "Come on baby, it's okay, it's okay, you're safe. Are you hurt? were you hit somewhere?" He asked curiously. She nodded a "NO" in response to Johnson's queries. About a few minutes later, the emergency ambulance and police backup arrived at the location and she was immediately transported to be attended to by a doctor. "Who are those guys? and what the hell do they want?" Wilson asked and walked up to him. Johnson sighed in relief and whispered; "We will find out soon enough. Let's go, buddy!!"
