In the midst of the unfolding chaos, I found myself in a state of disbelief. Emily, of all people, had decided to grace me with her presence, and I couldn't shake the feeling that she was here to stir up trouble and settle old scores.
I mustered a cold, unwelcoming tone as I addressed her, desperately hoping she would take the hint and leave. "You can't be here, Emily. You need to go."
Her response dripped with annoyance as she retorted, "I'm definitely here to stay."
Nash, who had been observing this awkward exchange, couldn't resist adding his own touch of amusement. "I guess I've been away for far too long. I had no idea you had a girlfriend. Am I interrupting something?"
I shot a glare in Emily's direction and clarified, "She's not my girlfriend. She's leaving."
