A shiver of fear raced down my spine upon hearing my father's words. What could he possibly be planning? This burning question gnawed at my mind as he stared into the distance, his face twisted in an unsettling grin. "What are you planning?" I inquired once more, my voice tinged with a hint of desperation.
"Why do you need to know?" He snapped out of his reverie, his eyes narrowing. "You've known my intentions from the very beginning—to eradicate those wretched creatures," he spat out with a venomous disgust in his tone.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "You can't be serious right now! You nearly died, and now you're saying this?" My disbelief was palpable.
