Mallory interrupted before Emica and Jorgen could argue further. “We should get started. Sarisa only gave us an hour and a half before we need to return for dinner.” Ryan held out a short sword to Emica. “We don’t have a scabbard, but you can borrow this spare sword we have. Maybe the blacksmith will have a secondhand scabbard you can buy.” He turned to Jorgen. “I’m afraid we don’t have any spare weapons suited to your class.” Emica stared at Ryan for a moment. “You’ll lend me a weapon.” “Yes.” “How will I ever be able to repay you for that?” Emica asked. “And what if one of yours breaks and you need it back?” Ryan shrugged. “We’ll worry about that if it happens.” “We might get lucky and find another sword,” Callum said.
