Master Healer Aaron watched with a heavy heart as the king dispensed his judgement on the rebel lords, all of them paying with their lives. As a healer he found the loss of life distressing, but he steeled his heart. These men had committed treason and had led others in the same. Lives, both human and Kin, had been destroyed for generations due to the atrocities committed by the Killiam Order. William could have sat back and others could have carried out his sentence, but he took the burden on himself. If you held another's fate in your hands, you should at least have the decency to face them with valour.
“Try to reach for my mind again and you won’t live long enough to face the king’s judgment,” Kyle growled, his eyes still glowing with power as he looked at one of the prisoners he held.
