34 Return Kyle found Alex without any trouble at all. He could tell his friend was curious about his sudden appearance, and the rest of the bar seemed so as well. Kyle paid them no mind and walked across, sliding onto the bench seat on the opposite side of the booth to Alex. He made no effort to hide it as he swept his powers over Alex, assessing his mood and stability. Alex ducked his head, although it didn’t hide what looked suspiciously like a smile, and while Kyle didn’t hear the communication, he had no doubt that Alex had apprised another that he’d shown up.
