Matthew trailed after Ryan, something the newly acknowledged member of the Companion’s Cohort was apparently finding a little disconcerting. When he’d first started with Personal Service, he’d always been with Marcus, James or Megan, learning on the job from the more senior members. Now he was trusted one up with a handful of Elite under his command. Admittedly it was Ryan he was following around at the moment, but he’d been assured he would be swapped in to pull duty stints on all of their charges. They all had different mannerisms and responses. It was a part of his job to know how they were going to respond and hopefully put things in place in advance rather than being surprised and left flat-footed.
