Chapter 4I was playing computer golf whenAdmiral Narawara knocked on the door and walked in. The admiralalways has a pleasant expression on his face. It tends to cheer youup and I needed cheering. I had bounced a great many ideas aroundinmy head, but ultimately came up with nothing. I’m used to fightingmilitary battles which usually involve enemies who have thistendencyto move or breathe. Sometimes they do both, but the latter isn’tmandatory, at least not with some of the enemies in this age.Sometimes I think the military commanders of the past had iteasier.They only had to fight opponents who breathed. Then again, yourtactics against a human or alien army would be the same. And, withafew variations, most tactics would be the same against a roboticarmy. “Should I come back later, major?”
