"Summer!" Adrian shouted in panic, his voice echoing through the stairwell. He rushed forward but was a moment too late, catching Summer's unconscious body and finding his hands stained with blood.
Nancy struggled to hide her satisfaction as she perfected her performance. "How could she be so careless?" Nancy exclaimed, her voice dripping with feigned concern. "Falling down the stairs like that—how dangerous."
