I stood rooted to my spot, the last words I'd just heard swirling around in my head. A part of me wanted it to be a prank. A silly prank that had gone too far, but one glance at my right and the figure in front of me was all I needed to convince me that this was far from a prank. Everything that was happening and had happened was real, including the words I'd just heard.
