I paced around the room as I anxiously waited for Carter to come back. He hadn't been gone for long, hell, I was sure it hadn't been up to two minutes since he'd walked out of here, but I couldn't help but feel he should have come back by now. I mean, how long did it take to find a doctor, right?
I snuck a glance at my father and my heart broke. He was a soldier and never backed down from a fight, seeing him almost hopeless and helpless was a huge contrast to the man he was and it didn't sit right with me.
A frown tugged on my lips immediately. I was going to find the bastards who did this to him and make sure they pay, especially in blood. Who would dare attack my father, the Alpha King? Clearly, they had no idea who they were dealing with.
