I was freaked out. In fact, freaking out wasn't enough to describe how I was feeling at the moment. A million and one emotions ran through my mind and if I didn't stop them soon, I would run mad. Well, right now, that didn't seem like a bad idea. I would pick anything over teaming up with Carter.
It still felt surreal if I was being honest. Who would have thought, that Carter of all people would come up to me with a proposal like that.
“Team up with me.” His words echoed in my head. It had been hours since he walked out of my room, but I still hadn't been able to get his words out of my head. If I was being honest, I wasn't sure I would actually be able to get it out. Right now, it had been imprinted in my heart and soul.
