Destiny's POV
I sucked in a deep breath and regretted it immediately. My lungs burned as air slid down my nostrils before spreading out to where it was needed. Despite the fact that I was inhaling oxygen to try to be able to breathe again, it did nothing to stop the burning in my lungs. My insides flared up, eating me out from the inside and I pressed my eyes shut. No matter what I tried, it refused to cool off. Like that wasn't enough torture, an intense jolt shot up my neck. I couldn't even hold my head up properly. If I so much as tilted my head in the wrong direction, my neck would scream in pain.
Judging by the pain I was feeling, I wouldn't be surprised if I had broken a couple of bones in there. I hissed sharply as I trailed a finger down my neck. Just the tip of my finger was mor
