My mind was a mess, and no amount of thoughts could clear it up apparently. I'd been trying, trying to get rid of the many thoughts that clouded my mind, but the more I tried to get rid of them, the more they swarmed all around me. I was tired, exhausted and on the verge of going crazy, but I knew I couldn't. There was no room for even the tiniest slip ups. I was the Alpha, and by default, it was my duty to remain strong, no matter how grave the situation was. If I so much as showed a hint of weakness or being overly affected, I was afraid it wouldn't sit well with my subjects, even if the affected people were my son and father.
