I saw red. Red all over the compound, red water splashing from the fountain, red flowers, red sky, everything was literally red, but it couldn't compare to the source of my anger. The mere thought of it was more than enough to get me madder ten times over. Maybe if I hadn't set my eyes on her first, it wouldn't have gotten to this extent. But there was no going back now. Thee deed had been done.
I stared straight ahead, but I couldn't see her. I refused to. Why? The mere sight of her fiery red hair was all I needed to be transported to that day. The day I'd almost killed her.
