Destiny's POV I fought hard to keep my thumping heart from beating all the more. No matter how hard I tried, it just wouldn't calm down. In the last minute, I'd lost count of how fast my heart was beating. When we first got here, it was at a steady pace and even that wasn't steady enough. The moment Fredrick left me alone in the car, that was when it started thumping wildly. I tried a couple of breathing exercises, but its effects were only temporary.
