Destiny's POV
I spluttered awake as something cold and icy came in contact with my face. Shock waves raked through my spine as I jerked awake, spluttering here and there. The moment I peeled my eyes open, I regretted it immediately. My eyes stung as more water got into my eyes, causing me to snap them shut immediately. I pressed my eyes tightly, hoping to numb the pain, but instead, it only felt like it got worse.
My chest felt tight as I suddenly found it hard to breathe. I sucked in a mouthful of air, but it stung as it traveled down my lungs. I felt my pulse race as I tried to figure out what was going on, but there was no way I could do that without opening my eyes first. So, I did, but painfully slow this time.
