I was bemused and confused by the statement she just made. How could she start up a false rumor like that? And she had the audacity to smile at me. The students began to clap as they cheered repeatedly.
"Silence," I muttered trying to control my anger.
"You both are such lovely couples."
"You look so good together."
"We've finally found a perfect match for Mason. It just had to be you, Rachel. No one else would be able to be as good as you..."
