I stared at the school notice board where our results were posted in utter bewilderment. I closed my eyes and opened them again just to be sure. A whopping 78% under my name stared back at me.
"I had 78%?" I mumbled to myself in disbelief. I suddenly heard the students whispering furiously. I turned around wondering what was going on and I was met with the smiling face of Mason, standing with a bouquet of red roses.
"Congratulations babe," he said, making some girls gasp. They were glaring at me enviously but I didn't care anymore. I ran into his arms emotionally.
"Thank you. Thank you so much," I whispered gratefully.
"For the flowers?" he muttered.
