BRENDA Edward entered her small terrace house. It was a chaotic evening at the inn as there was a notice coming from the new owner. Till now she still couldn't believe the email she received earlier. The new owner suddenly announced a restructuring in the position of the inn's staff. Everybody is involved. No exception. It meant everyone was at risk of being fired.
"Mum, are you okay?"
Amanda's soft voice shocked and startled Brenda. "Yes, honey?" She asked in confusion.
"Why do you look depressed? Something happened at the inn?" Amanda stared at her mum's pale face.
Brenda sat on the sofa beside Amanda, who'd been watching television when she came in.
"The owner is restructuring the staff at the inn. Everybody is involved, including me. Everyone is now at risk of being fired."
