Saint Claude's Academy

Black out.

As Emily stood there looking at her phone going over everything Zoe had said. Having a party was the last thing she could think about. At that moment Shilo comes running into the office she looks up at Emily and barks and pushes Emily with her nose to the sofa, as Emily is getting nudged closer to the sofa she starts to feel dizzy and her ears start ringing, she feels as though she is about to faint so she lays down on the sofa and says to herself she will just rest her head that she is just overwhelmed with all that has happened this morning.

As soon as she closes her eyes she is in another place, no matter how hard she try's to wake she can't it's like she is still awake she is laying down and Shilo is next to her. Emily stands up to take a look around. It's very difficult to see, everything is so bright and she notices there is so much noise that she didn't hear before. She listens more carefully and recognises music is playing, and she can hear laughter and talking lots of people but she still can't see anything.

The brightness starts to dim down and she is noticing she is in a big hall. The ceiling is so high, she can see that the hall she is multi levelled with railings around the edges. She notices the art on the walls, it's beautiful so much colour and age to them but here they look so in place when she would normally see these paintings in a museum she's never seen anything so beautiful.

People are starting to come into view no one notices her or if they do they are not paying attention to her. There are people dancing like a welts but different. The woman are wearing the most beautiful gowns looking very vintage but not out of place and the men are dressed in stunning suits Emily looks down and see's that she is also dressed the same as them her gown is so beautiful it is the deepest blue almost black, She can feel her hair is pulled back with lose curls surrounding her face, She can feel heavy jewellery around her neck and hanging from her ears. As she looks around she notices there are also animals here all different sorts from dogs, birds, cats, lynx, wolves, they are all well behaved walking close to or standing with there owners.

As she is surging through the crowd wondering where she is she notices that people can see her but as soon as she makes eye contact they look away and whisper to each other. She carries on looking around to see if she can see anyone that looks somewhat familia. She try's to talk to someone anyone but it's like they can't hear her. People and noise start to overwhelm her she can't breath she is spinning and peoples laughter is getting louder and louder. Emily starts running though the hall, until someone grabbed her from behind she turns around but as soon as she is face to face she wakes.

Emily is forced awake breathing heavily and sweating Shilo is right there with her she runs to open the window she needed air. As soon as the window is open she takes in deep breaths, while Emily is gulping in fresh air she feels the change in temperature, she looks at her watch and sees that it's 4.30pm, six and a half hours I was out. "Where was Mrs Laurence, why had she not found me?" As Emily tried to remember her dream all she saw was black she can't remember anything. Emily starts running her head "what is happening to me?" She reaches for her phone in her back pocket looks at the screen. 15 missed messages. -Dylan 11am, Hey Em we are heading out at 12.30, just after lunch see you soon. -Dylan 12, Hey Em your still coming Yeh? -Zoe 12, Hey Dylan just text me, we are all meeting at the river, want me to come in my car we can head out together? -Melissa 12.30pm, Hey you still coming we are waiting for you. -Dylan 1pm, Emily are you okey? No one has heard from you text back. -Dylan 1.30, Hey is this about before, if so I'm really sorry, Zoe was just telling me about your party sounds really cool, come down to the river and we'll talk about it. -Zoe, -Zoe, -Dylan, -Melissa, -Stephen, -Sam, -Dylan, -Ruby.

Emily reply's in a group text; Hey sorry I fell asleep, wow the day really disappeared, sorry I didn't make it. Hope you all had a good time. Sorry again.

As Emily goes walking to the kitchen she realised that she hasn't eaten anything, she runs into Mrs Laurence folding washing in the dining room. "Good afternoon miss Emily how has your day been?" Emily takes a seat at the breakfast bar, "well actually I can't remember, the last thing I remember is Shilo coming into the office and nudging me to the sofa and I started feeling dizzy so I laid down that was about 10.30am then nothing till I looked at my watch and it was 4.30." Mrs Laurence stopped folding the washing and smiled up at Emily. "It's happening, don't worry my dear, everything will be cleared up soon. You have received your letter yes? It should have come by now surely with your birthday next week. I wonder what is taking them so long." Emily sat there intrigued. "You know about Saint Claude's? But how when I don't even know. What's so important with this school? Why can't I remember my afternoon! What's happening to me?" Emily is taking huge breaths trying to calm herself down. Mrs Laurence comes over and wraps her arms around Emily and says to her "it's going to be alright my dear, everything will make sense when you arrive at Saint Claude's. I promise. When you arrive you can contact me, if you do not understand. That is all I can say for now."
