Night time run

Mrs Laurence stands up and asks Emily what she wants for dinner, of course she had no idea, she was always hungry, but was never satisfied. She was thinking of being up this to Mrs Laurence but didn't know how to and decided to leave it. "What ever is going, thank you." Was all that Emily replied.

The days following were blurring together. Emily spent her time doing the usual, shopping get and chilling with Zoe, although I wouldn't call it chilling, everyday it was people texting if they were invited to the party. We still had to organise catering and of course where it was going to be, Zoe said that we can have it at her place since her parents will be out of town. We decided to do it in the 1st of February which is a Saturday instead of the Sunday so then everyone can go to school on the Monday without any trouble. Emily still hasn't had a chance to sit and talk with Zoe to see how she feels. All Emily wants to do is have a sleepover with her best friend watch chick flicks and get it all out and say what's really going on with her with the strange dreams and constant hunger. She's always been able to talk to Zoe about everything if anyone can help what's going on with Emily it's Zoe, Zoe knows her better than she knows herself if anyone has the answers it'll be her. But how would she even say "so I've been having these dreams and I'm so hungry all the time but no matter how much I'm eating it's not hitting the right spot. I think I'm going crazy I'm having black outs and whole days are disappearing. That it I'm going crazy... 'stop being dramatic Em and I'm sorry but your not going to get away with calling yourself crazy, nope yes you are definitely going crazy Emily what on earth are you going on about."

Just then Zoe asks if she is ok. "Oh yeh I'm good, just been a long day." Zoe turns around with a smile. "Alright one more thing, I can't let you go without this." Zoe says while handing over a small box. "Oh Zo, it's not my birthday yet, I can't except this," Emily says while opening the box. Inside is a silver bracelet with 7 red gems, in the middle going in a line. Emily just stands mouth opened looking at the bracelet. Before Emily could even try to give it back Zoe gives her a hug and says "don't even try to give it back, this isn't your birthday gift. This is just a little gift so you can remember us all. Don't worry I have one to. Just think if it as a friendship bracelet." "Oh Zo thank you so much it looks beautiful." As Emily takes it out of the box and slips it on her wrist the bracelet tightens. "Um so Zoe, is this normal?" Emily says horrified trying to take it off. "Oh yeh it's just so it doesn't fall off, mine has done the same see." Zoe holds her wrist up and shows Emily. Zoe laughs at the way Emily is acting pulls her sleeve down "now come on we have one more day before the party and still so much to do!"

"Actually Zo I'm going to call it a day today, still have to do some stuff at home" Emily says walking out of the shop "oh that's cool I can drive you back to your house if you want and give you a hand?" "No, no don't worry about it I could use the walk to be honest." Emily says while hugging Zoe goodbye before Zoe could argue saying get in the car Emily was already walking away.

When Emily goes around the corner she feels the need to run, so she does and she just keeps going faster as fast as she can she feels tears streaming down her face, she has so many feeling just trying to escape out of her body she doesn't feel right in her own skin, she keeps going she doesn't know why she's feeling so upset and she can't control it she hears cars screeching and horns blearing but she doesn't care she doesn't stop she just keeps going. She doesn't notice the street lights come on. She can't tell the sky has turned black. While running she sees a a face in her mind but she doesn't recognise this face but then he looks so familiar images are flashing through her mind of herself and this guy she seems happy in her visions. She's laughing and looks really happy. From a person looking at these two together it looks like a couple so very in love, then it's very blurry.

Emily stops running she starts rubbing her eyes, as she is returning to herself her environment she has to take a minute to figure out where she is. She notices that it's night time and that she is close to the outskirts of town she must have been running for hours she doesn't even feel winded she tried to remember what she was seeing she can't remember in full detail but she remembers the face his face she could see him a clear as day. "Who is he " Emily says out loud to herself. Emily turns back and heads home. As Emily is walking home she thinking of her party. As much as she didn't want one she is glad she's having one but the thought of joining the academy is very nerve racking, there is something that isn't feeling right but she can't put her finger on it. As she is walking back home she realised how far she went she decides to get a taxi the rest of the way home.

"Where on earth have you been Miss Emily! It's nearly 12 o'clock." Mrs Laurence says sounding worried. "I was about to notify the police that you hadn't come home." She places a hand on Emily's forehead then grabs onto her shoulders and gives her a shake. Then pulls her into a hug. "No-no there's no need to fuss Mrs Laurence, I am so very sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I don't know what came over me, I was running and running then my mind went somewhere else and before I realised I was at the end of town. I didn't even notice that the street lights turned on and it had become night time. I'm really sorry i didn't mean to stress you out." Mrs Laurence let go took a step back and gave Emily a once over. She took a deep breath of relief and said, "now, now it's quite alright, you are home safe and sound, now I hear you have big plans this weekend, you are going to need your rest, unless you want me to fetch you something to eat?" Mrs Laurence says walking towards the kitchen. "No thank you I'm good, I'm just going to head up to bed. Thank you for staying up, I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight." As Emily heads upstairs she feels her eyes getting heavy she only just makes it to the bed before collapsing as she closes her eyes she feels Shilo jump up on the bed and lay next to her.

Dream

It was golden white all around, people dancing all around laughing. Sure enough she looked down and she was dressed in another elaborate dress, this time it's a scarlet red, she could feel the length of her hair cascading down her bare back. She feels heavy with jewels hanging off her wrists and around her neck. As she is looking around she realises she is in the same place as last time. She focuses on the people around her, they all look so familiar like she knew them but she didn't know where she had seen them. They all knew her they were reaching out, hugging her and kissing her cheeks. She thought it was just a dream so decided to play the part. She gets pulled into the darning and is having the time of her life after all it's just a dream what could happen.

While she was dancing going from partner to partner she came face to face with the man of her visions. As he placed his hands on her waistline her breath hitched the warmth of his hand resting on her lower back made it hard for her to breathe. "You finally came to the party. I've been waiting for you." This mysterious man said into my ear. His voice was so husky and the feel of his breath sent shivers down my spine. "Where am I" Emily reply's back. What I heard next was unexpected he laughed, a deep powerful laugh. "Why can't you just enjoy the now and worry about the where later?" He says into my ear. Before Emily could reply she was whisked away to the next dancer, while she was spinning around the room going from dancer to dancer she was trying to find him to feel him again. All she wanted was to feel him pushed against her to hear his strong voice again. As she thought of hearing his voice again she heard him laugh. Emily was looking around but could not see him. "You look beautiful by the way" Emily stood frozen and her dancing partner was not please l. She removed herself from the dancing area. She heard his voice in her head how was that possible. "Where have you gone. I wanted another dance?" Emily thought she was going crazy she wanted to call out to him but she didn't even know his name. As she stops to take in everything around her she notices that she could hear laughter and talking but looking at the people around her no-ones mouth was moving sure they were smiling and enjoying themselves but looking from the outside they all look mute, but why can I hear all this noise what's happening. She locked eyes with mystery man, he was smiling and gesturing her to go to him.

Before she reached him she was pulled back to reality with Shilo jumping on her bed. I rolled over to look at the time it was only 7.30, I decided to get up and have a shower. By the time I finished and made my way down stairs breakfast was already waiting at the breakfast bar for me, and Shilo was waiting patiently for me before she starts on her breakfast. While Emily is eating she hears the front door open. Shilo jumps up excitedly as Zoe lets herself in. "Good morning miss Zoe, can I get you anything to eat or drink?" Mrs Laurence says at the entrance. "Good morning Mrs Laurence, no thank you I'll just grab some fruit." Zoe replied with a smile. As she is heading towards the kitchen where she has seen Emily.

Zoe jumps up on one of the stools by the breakfast bar and takes a bite of an apple, "you know it's going to be so strange when you go. Wait what's going to happen to Mrs Laurence when you go and the house? I mean your dad isn't around and you won't be here to clean up after?" From behind Zoe i could see Mrs Laurence lift her head. "Nothing is going to happen to Mrs Laurence, this is still our house and I'm going to need to a place to come back to during the breaks and whenever my father decides to come back he's going to need a place to live, so Mrs Laurence will stay and treat this place as her own until I or my father return." Emily could see Mrs Laurence relax and she turned her attention back to Zoe. "What are you doing her so early anyways?" Zoe took a bite from her apple and replied. Well we have three days before you leave me and this town we have to make the most of it. We are shopping today and getting our nails and hair done for the party tonight. That will give you all day tomorrow to pack." Emily sucked on her breath only three days left before my life turns upside down. "Well I'll finish up my breakfast then we can head off." As the girls head down the driveway to Zoe's car they see Dylan waving at them to go over. Zoe grabs Emily's hand and drags her across the street. Zoe has always had a crush on Dylan but she's never made a move because she thinks Dylan is in love with me, I keep telling her there is and will never be anything there but she doesn't believe it. "Hey, Em, Zo. What are you guys getting up to today? Can't wait for tonight, want me to bring anything?" Zoe starts twilling her hair. "If you could bring your sound system that will be cool I have heaps of music but my radio isn't any good. And we are having a spa day to get ready for tonight. Don't forget the pools also set so don't forget your togs." Zoe started to blush but she composed herself. "Well if I can be guaranteed I won't be swimming alone I'll bring them." Dylan replied grinning ear to ear. They all laughed and Emily started to pull Zoe back to the car "alright we'll see you around 6.30? Well grab some pizzas for dinner, see you later Dyl." The girls link arms and head to the car. "So where are we off to first?" Emily says to Zoe while getting in the car. "Well do our nails first then get a new outfit for tonight then grab some lunch then off to our hair appointment. Then should be finished with plenty of time to go to my place and get ready for the party."
