~Will POV~ I moved cautiously, each step measured, as I made my way to the safe house. The air was thick and heavy, the kind that clings to your skin and fills your lungs with unease. A normal person would never wish to step foot here, and yet, this was the place where everything had to be resolved. Darkness swallowed the old building, broken only by the faintest creak of floorboards beneath my boots. The smell of damp and dust lingered, but I hardly noticed.
