Moving On

340 Words
After the funeral, my husband needed to rush back to UK to work as he can't get more time off than a week. He also needed to go back to sort out the accommodation for us as we normally live in a hostel provided by with the job. I am planning to bring Bryan over to stay with us while we work so renting a small place is the first necessary step.  I stayed back to sort out the other things that needed sorted and also to get Bryan ready for his first flight journey. He has always wanted to go and visit us in the UK. Just that I never thought this is how it is going to be. Life is just so unpredictable. My sister will be staying back as she just graduated and found a good job so she will be able to look after herself well. She is an accountant and I am really proud of her achievement. Bryan on the other hand is really upset and missed grandma terribly so a change of environment would be the answered to it.  We arrived at Heathrow airport after a long 9 hours journey. He seems to be taking it in alright as he is only 7 years old at that time. But for me I always suffer jetlag every time I travel due to different time zone. My husband and my boss had been waiting at the airport for our arrival. Once landed we collect our luggage and headed straight to our new home. It is a very small one bedroom flat as accommodation is really expensive and we need to save whenever we could.  Even though the flat is small it is very cozy and warm. For the first time in our married life we got a place we called home even though it is a rented one. I made a vow to myself that I will work very hard and will get them a permanent place that we could call home in the near future.
