Alpha Bryer "We may not like it, but we have to work together if we are together defeat Evingston once and for all," said Alpha Bryer. "I know there has been intense acrimony between the werewolves and vampires, but I concur, we must put our animosity aside and work together if we re to annihilate this common enemy," Nico stated. "We will both send search parties out to try to locate his stronghold. He took a lot of people with him, so his army is strong, but it has no hope of surviving one of our armies, let along our combined forces. His only advantage now is that he is hidden." "Agreed. I will also send out men to search for him. I think we also must make a pact that we will openly share information that we find out, regarding Evingston, with each other," Alpha Bryer said. "I agree to that. We will send messengers to send information back and forth. I think we should also send spies ino his compound to gather intel before we attack him, when we do locate him," Nico suggested. The men reluctantly shook hands and agreed to be amicable with each other. Each had their reasons to despise the other. Nico's father waskilled by a werewolf. And, Nico has the woman that Alpha Bryer was in love with, so accepting a peace treaty did not come easy for either of them. Alpha Bryer left and headed back for his pack. He turned around and made the mistake of looking back as he saw Lyla come up to Nico and tenderly kiss his neck and embrace him. He was sitting irate that he squeezed his fists at his sides to tightly that his nails dug into his palms and he began to drip blood. He trudged along with his depleting depression sinking down on him. God, how he loved her. Lyla. She would have made the perfect Luna. She was perfect for him. He wondered to himself, Why did she choose him? When he finally arrived at his pack, he pushed down his emotions and functioned on pure logic. He spoke to General Ford, the Head of the Warriors, and instructed, "I want men in eight groups of four to fan out, and continued outward, searching for h compound of Lord Evingston. Once found, they are to return and report the location. Under no circumstance should they engage in battle. We will be the ones to initiate. " General Ford stated, "It will be done, Alpha Bryer." He then bowed and excused himself to carry out the order. General Ford was a stern, disciplined, stoic man. He wore his hair in a crew cut with a little trace of gray at the temples. He was a massive man, almost as huge as th Alpha. Rippling muscles, tattoos, and a demeanor of strength and power he was known for. He was also reputed as a skilled fighters in hand-to-hand combat, combat with many weapons, and he always defeated his opponent. No one stood a chance against him. After giving General Ford his orders, Alpha Bryer walked up and down the path near where the soldiers were practicing. One word from General Ford and they were at attention. With his command they gathered around him to hear his instructions. General Ford selected which men would be part of the search party and dismissed them to retrieve their weapons and carry out his orders. Alpha Bryer was determined to be the ones who first finds the Lord Evingston compound. He would be the one to kill him. He would be the one victorious. Maybe, just maybe, if he won this battle, then perhaps Lyla would fall for him again. Perhaps she would see strength and security in him and love him. "Alpha Bryer," Wren said from behind him and when he turned around she bowed. "I heard you saw Lyla. How is she? I just miss my friend." Wren spoke sadly, meekly. "She's fine," he said in a gruff voice, hiding how much he misses her, too. Alpha Bryer then excused himself to seek out his Messenger, Marcus, and let him know that he will be needing him to carry messages back and forth. After completing that task he went to eat in the Manor's dining room. Everyone was eating already. When he came in and sat down, everyone stopped eating and talking, stood up and bowed. He made a hand motion and they all continued to eat and chat with each other. The server brought Alpha Bryer his meal and set it before him. It was roasted turkey, with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. He slowly began to eat. "Forgive me for saying this, Alpha Breyer, but you look like you've been through hell," said Beta Reyes. "I feel like hell, my friend," he said with a little bit of a laugh. He had to keep it together, though. He needed to be focused because soon they would find Evingston and then they will attack. After he finished eating, he went to his legendary sky's house, Morris. Morris had long brown hair that he kept pulled back into a ponytail. He had a slender build, with brown eyes, and a charming appeal that he used to manipulate the enemy. He was suave, sly, and sneaky. He was exemplary at being a spy. He was made for it. After he was invited in, Morris bowed and said, "Alpha Bryer, it is always a pleasure to see you. Are you here on business or is this a friendly visit?" "Business. Right now my warriors are searching for a man called Lord Evingston. He is our foe, and once they locate his stronghold, I will need you to use your superlative spy skills to infiltrate the place and gather information. We need to know his strengths, weaknesses, best way to get in, a map drawn of the place, everything. This is a dangerous mission," explained Alpha Bryer. "It would be an honor to grant your request. After all, this is what I do best and live doing it. I won't disappoint you. After I leave, I will return in two weeks to collect the information," replied Nico. Alpha Bryer then returned to his room to sleep. He quickly fell deeply asleep. He needed it.
