Chapter 2

He stood up glaring at Alexis all he had in mind was how

beautiful she looked with clear hazel eyes and well formed

lips and that hair of hers which fell across her shoulders.....

she has a pained look on her face and he was wishing he could

just pull her into his arms and comfort her and.....

"Rex..." Bianca groaned

Interrupted from his thoughts, he pulled bianca up and looked

straight at Alexis "apologize to her right now" he said in a cold

voice

Alexis thought she had just heard a joke"I should apologize to

her for slapping me and pouring a hot cup of coffee on me,

don't you think you should rephrase that statement of yours by

telling her to apologize to me"

"So you won't apologize"

"No i won't"

"If you don't apologize you should also be ready to lose your job"

"And who the hell are you to say that to me"

"The person whose going to make you lose your job"

Alexis scoffed.

Rex pulled out a card out of his jacket and gave it to Mr grec

"Fire her immediately" he said

Picking up his phone from the table, he looked at alexis one more

time before walking out....bianca gave Alexis a smile while

running after rex.

Mr grec looked at the card in his hand and his mouth went wide

open....that was the one and only Rex from the Williams family,

he hit his hand on his head, how could he not have known, Rex

Williams came to his diner and this was what transpired, he

would be fortunate if his shop wasn't locked up.

With an angry face he looked at Alexis and told her "what are

you still doing here, don't you know you are fired" he shouted

Alexis was confused, she didn't know what to say but from what

she's seen she knew that rude man was not someone to be

triffled with but what she can't still understand was why she

should be punished when she hasn't done anything wrong....

those rude customers were to blame not her never her.

But she had to beg, this was her only means of living and

fending for herself, taking a glance outside the man's car wasn't

there anymore, she turned to Mr grec and knelt down begging

him but Mr grec wouldn't hear any of it .

Jane who has been standing there all along took alexis bag and

flung it towards her, taking her bag she took off the apron on her

and dropped it on the table, with head bent she walked out of the

shop, what a bad day for her! this was all because of those rude

customers, that jerk of a man who didn't know what transpired but

went all the way to protect his girlfriend by making her get fired. Bah!

She was really in a bad mood and went home straight to bed without

even pulling her shoes.

Meanwhile in the car Bianca has been trying to pacify Rex but to no avail

he himself could not understand what he was being that way just because

of that girl. He knew she hasn't done anything wrong but he didn't know why he

acted that way. Glancing at bianca he knew this was all her fault. he felt

suffocate staying with her.

"Stop the car" he commanded the driver and the driver immediately pulled over

"Get out" he said to bianca

"What" bianca shrieked

"Don't make me repeat myself and don't ever disturb me while I'm working"

Knowing she has crossed her limit by openly embarrassing herself in front if others

while he was there, she didn't argue anymore and opened the door and went out,

once the door closed Rex told the driver to drive him back to his villa. while banca

stared after the car with anger written all over her face, she couldn't believe rex

would abandon her in the middle of the road, taking her phone she called a cab.

Getting home he was feeling restless about all that had occurred in the day, he

shouldn't have interfere knowing that bianca was at fault and now he had made

that girl lose her job, he shouldn't have gone out with bianca when she suggested

it. s**t! why was he thinking of a mere girl! when has he ever been concerned

about anybody! standing up he went over to the bar taking a drink.

It was cool weekend, the snow has been falling all through the night and by

morning everywhere was cool, picking up her jacket alexis strolled over to the

store, she was running of of groceries since she hasn't gotten enough money

after being fired, and she hasn't gotten another job yet. She has been managing

the money she's saved and now it looks like she was gonna run out of money

anytime soon. Stepping into the grocery store she said a greeting to the attendant

and taking a stroller she went about picking groceries that were necessary for her

while checking for the cheapest one.

Suddenly she was gonna make a turn when she suddenly bumped into someone

else stroller and she lost her balance and fell.

"s**t! What the hell" she cursed

"I am so sorry, are you hurt" the person apologized

Hearing the smooth voice of the person she looked up and she fell in a trance

just by staring at his face, he was so handsome and breathtaking with his smooth

skin. she never knew a guy can be so mesmerizing.

"Are you okay....are you hurt, I can take you to the hospital right now"

Snapping out of her trance, she quickly got up as people were staring at her and

she looked at him with a smile on her face "thanks I'm good" she said and bent

down quickly to gather all her groceries that fell on the floor, then she noticed

he was also helping her pick them up.

"Thank you"

"It's nothing, wasn't watching where I was going"

"It's fine" she said staring at his face. Gosh! could his face be any smoother.

Bryan smiled on seeing the way she was staring at him, he tapped her on her

head smiling at her. Alexis was so embarrassed that he caught her staring

lustfully at him. She coughed clearing her throat and took her stroller from him

pushing him towards the counter and he followed her with his stroller.

At the counter after the attendant counted the goods she was about to bring

out her card when she saw the guy giving the attendant his card. he smiled at

her and said "it's on me" she didn't even hear what he was saying and was looking

at his dimples on his cheek, Gosh! He was beautiful.

Bryan stood facing her letting her drool all she wanted, after some time he leaned

over her and whispered into her ears "Don't wanna go home"

Jumping up she smiled sheepishly at him and collecting her bag from him she walked

out quickly.

Bryan smiled at the attendant who has been staring at them the

whole time and rushed out quickly grabbing alexis hand.

"Hey, why the rush, can I drop you off" he asked

"No thank you, my house is not far from here" she replied

"Okay why don't we exchange number...I'm Bryan"

"Alexis"

"Nice name, can I please have your number" he asked desperately.

"Uhhh yeah...yeah, your phone" she stuttered.

Giving her his phone and watched as she typed her number in it.....

he looked at her face deeply noticing how beautiful she looked.

"That's it" Alexis said handing his phone back to him.

"Thanks, was nice meeting you" he said

"Same here"

He turned and walked towards his car and drove out. Alexis had her

mouth wide opened. What the hell did she see!!!, he was driving a

very expensive car. Wait No!! Expensive was an understatement!!!.

"Cool......some people just have all the luck in the world" she thought

as she walked back home.
