It was raining heavily when Bryan was about to go out,
He decided to stay back. calling the company, he told his
secretary to send him all the files that needed his approval.
Looking at his phone, he saw the unregistered number on it,
it was Alexis number, he clicked on the contact edit button
and saved her name before giving her a call.
She was feeling cold, she has gone out to get something at a
store when the rains started falling, and she has not seen a single
cab in sight. s**t! what was she going to do now? Using the bag in
her hand as an umbrella, she walked into an empty shed with the
roof leaking, trying to dry herself when her phone rang. it was a
strange number she was about to decline when she suddenly hit
the answer button, a strange voice came on.
"Hey Alexis"
"Hi...who am I speaking with"
"It's bryan...the guy you met at the store the other day" he explained
"Ohhh....am sosorry, I didn't recognize your voice at first"
"Yeah it's okay anyway...just wanted to check up on you"
He was hearing background noises at her end.
"You home" he asked
"No I'm stucked here in the rain" she replied nervously
The rains wasn't even stopping, it was raining wildly and
there was a lot of lightning and thunderstorms and she was
getting scared.
"Do you know the location I can come pick you right away"
That was it, she can't even see a thin. "Don't even know where I
am" she exclaimed inwardly. Just great alexis... just great!
"Are you there" bryan asked
Just when she was about to answer, her phone went off....."s**t"!
now she's stuck here.....she squatted feeling cold, feeling pity for
herself she started sobbing hard.

Going back home after a long day at the company, he relaxed at the
back of the car enjoying the cool music the driver had put on. The rains
has been falling since he got to the company in the morning and now it
doesn't look like it was going to stop, staring outside he caught a figure
lying down on the floor as the driver drove past it.
"Stop the car"
"Sir....this is a dangerous and lonely path, we can't afford to stop now"
"I said you should stop right now....I won't repeat myself"
"Yes sir" the driver did as he has been instructed and pulled over.
Opening the car door, he ran back to where he saw the person on the
floor, looking at the figure he noticed it was a female, he looked around
making sure it was not a trap before going forward.
Squatting, he used a finger to poke the person but didn't get any movement
then, he went to turn the person over. the body was cold if not frozen!
removing his jacket, he draped it over the person and carried the person
walking towards the car.....seeing him the driver opened the door for him.
Inside the car, the driver had the heater on and gave Rex a small towel
to dry his body with.
He was cleaning her cold hands and turned her face toward him to clean
when he saw her face.
Hell!!! this was the girl he had fired from that restaurant last time. His
mouth was wide opened staring at her face again.
"Is everything all right sir" the driver asked
Shutting his mouth at once and glaring at the driver, he said
"Drive me to my house not to the main house" he instructed
"But you were going to see your mom" the driver said
Glaring at him, the driver felt his neck was going to burn.
"Okay sir" he said swallowing
"Nice my mom can wait I have to deal with something else" he
said with a sly grin on his face
The driver shut his mouth tightly and focused on the road.

Calling her number severally it still wasn't going, bryan was
helpless as he paced endlessly in the room. Scrolling he dialed
a number on his phone and with one ring it answered.
" sir" the cold voice on the other end said
"I'm going to send a number to you, track it immediately"
"Okay sir"
Five minutes later the number called back.
"Sir there's no response from the phone, I think it has been
switched off" he said
"Ok....thanks" bryan sighed feeling helpless, he couldn't go out
inside this rain, she couldn't have switched her phone off right
in the middle of their conversation. He was definitely sure something
had happened. Thinking he threw the phone on the bed.
Alexis woke up the next morning feeling ache all over her body,
trying to get out of bed, she opened her eyes staring at the ceiling,
She saw a huge chandelier hanging on the beautiful ceiling, she
jumped up immediately scanning the room, everything screamed
money. "Where was she" she thought. Still standing, she tried to
recall what had happened but nothing was coming, she could only
remember that she had been standing in the rain since yesterday
morning and till evening the rain hasn't stopped. "Has she been
kidnapped". Suddenly she was afraid, she opened the windows
gently intending to get out but when she looked down she knew
she was going to only commit suicide if she did that. Checking
for her phone she didn't see it, "where had she dropped it" she
couldn't remember. "Ughhhhh.....stupid brain think" she said
while hitting her head with her hand.
"If you're trying to kill yourself do it outside my house"
She jumped up a second time at the voice bumping into the wall
"Ouch... that hurt" she said rubbing her elbow
Looking up she saw his face, "wait....this is the rude guy" "what in
the world is he doing here" she thought with a frown on her face.
"What are you doing here, did you kidnap me huh" she asked
Seeing her getting mad he couldn't understand what has happened.
"Well if helping someone now k********g, then let's say I kidn*pped you"
"You hel..ped me" she stuttered.
