- THE OTHERWORLD- " You are certain you don't like mushrooms, son?! " An old woman chuckled, putting the pot on the pot crane. The contents slowly simmers and bubbles, the aroma of herbal soup filling the air. " No. Mother. I am good. " Sedymon pours himself water from the wood carved jug. The atmosphere of the hut seemed more of spiritual and traditional. Different leaves hung on the red earth wall, series of drawings of figures drawn with white chalks in each corner. She was the keeper of the Goddess's abode. The only one in the forest. There were many things to wonder about, like how she never steps out yet she has enough food supplies, or why the evil ones can't attack even when she is near them. She was old, bent, yet hardworking and with a strength of a youth. Her name was Minora. But Sedymon calls her " Mother ", his sarcastic way of letting her know that her name shouldn't give her hope as someone young. The woman on her part already knew, but took it in anyways. She remarkably makes a good company. "Pieces...of the throne? " "Yes. The powers could revive her, right? " The woman clicks her tongue and carefully puts back the glowing pieces into the satchel. " I cant tell more about these stones, son. If you could see her body, you could perhaps know the choice to make. " Grabbing a wood, she hits it amongst the burning coals, giving more heat. And eventually, the stick glowed. They walked together to the place the Goddess was put in. Sedymon was so sure that if the goddess did transfer some of her soul's power into the throne as he did witness once when she did it, then it could try to restore her back. She's been dead for years now, yet her body never decayed or stopped glowing. Inside the glass marble that sat on the tall marble rocks, it looked llike she was alive. Her body gave out a glow. A glow of her glory, her power. "This is it...perfectly. Like she's sleeping. Only that she never waked." "And her body never moved like one who is breathing. " Sedymon touched the glass. Something could be done for her. She could regain her soul back. Something could be done. " Open the glass. " She looked at him for a moment, then touched a fingerprint-like hologram on the edge of the glass coffin. The glass slowly opens. Sedymon's eyes narrowed. " Wait. " He looked at the hologram. " This.."He trailed his fingers over the hologram. It beeped red, and an English word showed in red, warning colours: WRONG INPUT. PLEASE INPUT THE RIGHT FINGERPRINT. " It's not of our world. " The woman chuckled. " What world then? " "It gives this strange feeling of a deja-vu. It's not ordinary. " "You had a past life indeed." He tapped the glass twice. Then looked at Minora, " Maybe. Proceed. " The woman took out the gem pieces and studying them for a moment, then placed it on the Goddess body. For a split second nothing happened. Then bursts of lights. Spasms of lights filled the arena, all radiatiing from the Goddess body. The woman squatted to cover up her eyes, for she was old. Her youth energy wasn't shared to her eyesight. But Sedymon wasn't a man to flinch because of light. He looked Intently at her body so as not to miss any details. And he soon thanked goodneess he did. "What?" "Did you see that? " The woman followed his trail of sight and saw nothing but the smoke ascending. The lights were still powerful, so she flinched a little. Sedymon read her mind. "That wasn't smoke, Minora. That was her soul. It just passed from her body. I saw it. " What's going on? Doesn't she want revival? She doesn't choose it? Sedymon grabbed one piece of the gems and proceeded to leave. "Sedymon..." The woman called. He paused and turned to her. She tried to speak, but could only come up with a shrug. "Go on, " she says. "I have more to tell when youre calm. I can already tell your'e not. " ------------------ Sedymon wondered about what he saw. The smoky likeness of the goddess ascending with the light. What was that really saying? Did she intentionally put the lights to hide that moment?
