I felt like I had a long sleep, Sinnix kept checking in on me. occasionally I answer to let her know I’m ok, she promised not to let anyone learn I had spoken to her.

Sinnix loved the freedom she ran everywhere and often with Jace, they were like rabbits! if I’m honest they marked each other willingly I was actually a little jealous of the love they have for each other, but I was happy for Sinnix she deserved happiness and love.

Things around me became foggy I couldn’t see through Sinnix eyes the way I would use to and hearing sounds became muffled. pretty soon I would just disappear all together, and I was ok with that. I would miss Lucas and my parents, but they will understand, and they didn’t need me, anyway. In the faint sounds I hear Lucas talking to Sinnix .

“Sinnix! I know you communicate to her, you can’t fool me like you can Jace! please I need you Little wolf! I met my mate please I need to talk to you” He met his mate? OMG I hope she didn’t reject him too! he looks so sad and scared it reminded me of the time he was crying when he found out his parents died. all I wanted to do was hug him as I did now, and before I knew it, I was, I had my human form wrapped around his body

“Darcy! Thank goodness! And he bound his arms around me tight and kissed me on the forehead “you met your mate who is she? Are you ok did she not accept you! want me to kill her?” He just smiled and wrapped his arms around me again “can I just have a moment to appreciate I have you in my arms little wolf before you continue with all the questions! I have missed you so much!” Lucas cried “how long was I gone for” I inquired “3 weeks” I heard a voice from behind me Riven.

A weird mix of emotions swirled in me fear, relief, jealously but these were not my emotions. Riven moved to me and gave me a robe “thank you” I said still not ready to deal with him, yet I turned to Lucas “so who is the Lucky Wolf?” I asked

“Emily Lena,”

“The Alpha’s sister? Talk about a trade up” I joked, though Lucas didn’t seem to appreciate the Joke

“Darcy, we have to get out here and bring you home,”

“Why the panicked look? oh you want to go back to your mate?” I teased

“Yes, now let’s go!” Lucas said with urgency something was off.

As we walked back, I could feel Rivens eyes on me ‘you need to talk to him Darcy’ Lucas mind linked me

‘Why after everything he has done,’

‘I know but you were wrong he didn’t Mark you out of duty he marked you out of desperation to keep you,’

‘Why?’

‘Don’t be an i***t! why else,’

as we got the pack house Emily ran out! hey Darcy it’s nice seeing each other again I’m so sorry for what I mentioned last time I saw you!”

“Oh it’s fine my brain can process banter,” I joked

“See I told you” she continued the Joke “so I hear my Lucas is now your Lucas?” I asked she blushed “be kind to him, he is exceptional you have a good one” I declared I’m Lucas’s best friend I have to give the talk

‘Oh shut up you love me,’

Lucas and Emily walked off together. I turned to face Riven dread filled me, when I looked at him then a wave of hurt that was not my emotions what was going on? “So let’s talk” he suggested “lets I agreed” I followed him to his room he gestured to a chair, and I sat.

“UMM so I have had clothes brought here for you if you want to get changed and some personal items,” he announced nervously

“I can feel your still very mad at me so let me explain”

“What do you mean you can feel?” I asked.

“Well we are marked now by each other we can feel what each other feels,” Riven answered

Ah! that explains all those feeling before.

“Ok, explain to me why you felt it was ok to take away my freedom?”

“You were about to sever our mate bond?”

“You mean the one that you! attempted to sever the minute I meet you because I was to fat for you taste??” I bit back and fury filled me

I feel Riven preparing for whatever was to come

“So because you changed your mind and decided that I was worthy enough it led you the right to take that moment from me?! Everyone dreams about that moment Riven! it’s supposed to happen from connecting mind body and soul, and you stole that from me just like my innocence was stolen from me when that f*****g rogue raped me.” I screamed I threw all the hurt and suffering of losing my dreams of love and love making at him, I sunk to my knees and I cried, but on top I felt Rivens pain the misery of every verbal slap I threw him and the anguish of finding out his mate has gone through something he couldn’t protect her from. I felt him break with me but he whispered he was sorry and he left!
