The sun blares through my window, I wake to the light. AHH! my head! how much did I f*****g drink last night? I woke up with a naked she-wolf laying next to me, she stirs “good morning Beta” she says with a sleepy voice f**k! what did I do! “you need to leave!” I say sternly” she looks at me “what?!” How dare she make me repeat myself “leave!” I roared at her, she jumped up grabbed her clothes and ran out my door, I couldn’t help but think what if Darcy was waking up in that wolves bed this morning? just like that anger boiled! Jace is quiet, but even that thought stir him rage in him?

‘ Riven get your ass here!’ My Alpha demanded through mind link I didn’t bother responding. I threw my jeans on to meet him in his office as I opened I could hear low voices as I opened the door Kane commanded the pack members from his presence. his eyes fixed on me “what the f**k Riven!” I go to speak and Kane stopped me in my tracks “not only did my beta cause a scene and publicly humiliated a pack member you rejected your mate?” “Explain yourself” he demands “Sorry Alpha Kane” I addressed him formally we may be my best friend, but he is also my Alpha and what I did last night goes against his grain! he hated I defied the goddess and worst I did it in front of the whole pack “cut the bullshit Riven talk me through why” I took a deep breath in because I was ashamed of what I have done “I don’t know ok! when I caught her scent I couldn’t believe my luck! but when I saw her, she was not what I dream of she was average, she was over weight, tattooed she was the opposite of everything I desire in a she wolf and worst of all she has been with another wolf!”

“Riven you sound like a f*****g child, This mate of yours wasn’t with a tall darker skin male wolf by any chance?” Kane questioned me

“yes he was f*****g growling at me the balls on him thought he was going to charge me!” I shocked my head in disbelief.

“ha! I might make a pack warrior out of him yet! I have had my eye on him for some time he has enormous potential to be strong like his parents” Kane stated wondering off in his thoughts.

“like his parents? His parents were pack warriors?” I asked

“Yes Kayleigh Star and Jarred Arden”

“oh that’s right they had a son a couple of years younger than us, May the goddess protect their souls” a ping of sadness washed over me, they were fierce fighters they died 6 years ago. In a tough fight of rogues trying to intrude on our territory in attempt to overtake and take advantage of our new Alpha… Kane!

“Anyway lets get back on topic your mate, I met her that night pretty thing she is! she’s been through a lot, so you had to be the rotten cherry on top, fix it Riven! That’s an order!” He demanded, using if alpha tone

“You can’t force me to be a mate to someone Kane!”

“Riven answer me, does Jace reject her as well?

“No, he isn’t speaking to me at the moment,”

“Hmm well Riven I never mentioned you had to be her mate, I said to fix it you made a spectacle of this pretty little wolf in front of the entire pack! you need to at least make things right between you two! Maybe you can see why the goddess chose you too for each other and lastly Riven your Beta I expect you to act like one now go!” as I walked out from his words echo through me, ‘she’s been through a lot’. Jace whimpers inside me thinking about his mate suffering.

Kane hasn't used Alpha command on me before this really pissed him off! he is fun and easy going, but he has a lot of care for each pack member maybe that’s why he is furious at me, and he is right it’s frowned upon to reject a mate. why did the goddess choose her for me? Kane demanded me to fix and if I’m honest, I wanted too as well, Jace was barely speaking to me for what I had done and taking another she-wolf home well that just disgusted him and that caused the full silence treatment.

I get back to my room throw on a tee and throw my hair in a high top knot and I decided I was leaving to search for Darcy, hopefully get us to at least a civil point. The way she stared at me before she turned away, gave me the impression she will not make this simple on me. My head was still feeling the effects of that all that I drank, but that punch was worse than the whiskey what did they put a whole bottle store in it?! I need coffee first before I attempt to find Darcy.

I get to Dark Brew a coffee shop run by Rose Shey beautiful old wolf with a nack for making the best coffee and cakes. I asked for a tall black to go Rose smiled and then her eyes darted to the door. “Darcy love! What are you wearing?!” Her smell of rain and water lily hit me hard! it woke Jace up from his stubborn silent treatment with excitement being so close to our mate. I spun to face her and understood Rose’s question what the f**k is she wearing. I looked her over, is she seriously wearing a Christmas onesie out in public with thongs and sunnies? “Excuse me Beta but are you finished ordering your beverage” Darcy addressed me sarcastically the little b***h, yeah this isn’t going to be easy she then pushed past me and ordered two Vanilla lattes. Darcy told Rose she will be outside she turned around walk right pass me like she has no connection to me whatsoever! She push through the exit and out she went.

well I guess I deserved that!
