What was I thinking! How could I forget to shower! Argh! And being called out by that smug ass wolf made my blood boil! this was not a great way to mend the damage I have done. ‘foreseeable future?!’ She declared. we will see about that! I had to walk away having her beautiful blue eyes staring into mine, lust filled me and wanted to grab her and kiss her, take her back to my room and bury myself in her. how did it change from rejecting her to wanting her? She looked cute in those Pjs I couldn’t help but have fantasies about her popping each press-stud that kept that material hugged around her full breast, but Lucas was correct I smelt of another, and it would've hurt her and Sinnix, Jace was still not on best terms with me now. I didn’t smell Lucas on Darcy, so maybe they are just friends and I need to keep it that way.

I had no response I knew he wasn’t bluffing. I got to my room and sat on my bed, I shoved my head into my hands, goddess help me fix this!

After my shower I put on some Jeans, threw out my sheets then went to meet Kane. walking through the corridor I got lust stares from some unmated pack warrior she-wolf, normally I loved the attention now I wanted to growl! I wasn’t there's to look at! I reached Kane’s door as other pack members were present I addressed him formally. “Alpha Kane Axel you called for me?” “yes, thank you everyone’s dismissed thank you for bringing it to my attention” I stood there once everyone left Kane turned his attention on me. Riven how did you go with Darcy?”

“She hates me,”

“She has a wonderful sense of judgement,” Kane teased

“Yeah, thanks for that now I’m sure you didn’t call me here to check in on my love life! what’s up?”

“Well I want you to make things right, but there is something I’ve had reports that the surviving rogues that attacked us those years ago have been seen on the boundary of our territory,”

“Why would they be stupid enough to strike again?”

“I suspect there is a grudge match to settle with Lucas Onyx,” Kane said

“Why Lucas he was a kid when they attack, and they killed his parents not that I care I am happy to kill him myself and spare them the trouble.” Kane looked at me raised his eyebrows.

“Riven what’s he done to get under your skin other than look after your mate” he smirked

“f**k off Kane I see what you're doing and trust me I don’t need any baiting,” I grumbled

“Well you have been talking about a mate since we were 14 and the moment you have one you destroy it,” he laughed

“Yeah yeah ok so what do we do about these Rogues?” I ask changing the subject, Kane’s face turned serious “well the pack and your personal interests come as one. I require you to watch Lucas and Darcy, I have sent out to Lucas I want him to join training soon and be your delta,”

“You think he is Delta material?” I asked, thrown.

“Yes, I do, so you two need to work out your issues concerning Darcy,”

“alright look I have determine the best thing I can to do is hang back, give her time watch them from a distance. I’ll keep an eye out if I see any rogue activity I’ll let you know,”

“Thanks and Riven, good luck!” He chuckled!

“Kane, you didn’t answer me what did Lucas do?” I asked.

Kane looked down at the paper work in front of his head drew his brows together and sadness crossed his face “I’m asking you as a friend Riven not as your Alpha it’s not story to tell it’s Lucas’s and Darcy’s”. Darcy? What does she have to do with this? I knew my friend well and pushing him on this would not get me anywhere. “ Okay” I said simply as I left his office.

The next week I kept my eyes on Darcy she continued wearing these ridiculous outfits

She is insistent on making a fool out of herself I would see she-wolves passing her and laughing at her whispering about my rejection, wanted to tear their heads off, but I can understand what she is doing, I publicly showed how embarrassed I was to have her as a mate, and she is continuing up to that title in spite. the thing is her rebellious action was adorably sexy today she is wearing a tutu skirt with leg warmers and a leather jacket I got a real 80s vibe of her I couldn’t help but smile at the way she looked in this strange concoction. Darcy and Lucas were walking toward the edge of the woods east of our territory, like clock work they were training.

I was impressed Lucas was in fact living up to his parents legacy, but Darcy could very well be a pack warrior herself! I followed through to a secluded spot where I saw Darcy take off her jacket and her skirt to reveal a tight tee hugging her huge breasts and 3/4 running sports pants exposing her curvy ass. it sent me insane! I craved to sink my teeth in to it. this was my favourite part of her day watching her train filled Jace and I with pride

Lucas threw Darcy a sparing staff, and they begin to fight she was in great form as always when he lunged she swung when he was close she backflip and took Lucas out by his feet she held her staff to his chest he then kicked out her feet and had pinned her, but he quickly moved, and she wasn’t happy. Lucas! You need to let me work out of that” she yelled

“No! You should not have let me bring you in that position always expect someone taking you to the floor Darcy!.” He yelled back

“Again” he commanded

That was an interesting exchanged what’s going on there? My interest in their fight had me moving closer it seemed to become intense. I got close enough I caught Darcy’s scent which was a huge mistake because she caught my scent and froze right around the time Lucas swung his staff, and it connected to her face from the sound it hit her hard! she fell to the ground.
