I woke up to the blinds being pulled open, I let out a groan rubbing my eyes, a soft laugh finally made me look towards the window “I didn’t think we would find you in here.” Ryan said with a cheeky smile “he needed help sleeping…and friends help friends.” I muttered sitting up with a yawn as Richard walked over with a cup of coffee, i eyed it for a second before looking back at him “how did you know how I like my coffee?” I asked making him smirk “tifani. She said not to come in the room without coffee.” He replied making me smile a little more, I definitely had to thank her, we all sat on the couch making small talk and joking around for the most part. I felt relaxed around them and they made pretty good company, we all looked over hearing footsteps, ryland stepped out looking well rested, the dark circles under his eyes were gone and he was back in the slacks and button up shirt “looking good boss.” Ryan said flashing a smile “how did you sleep?” I asked slowly getting to me feet, he looked at me with a slight smile “like a rock, thank you.” He replied making me nod “then that’s my cue to leave, I’m sure you three have something to catch up on.” I said setting the coffee cup on the table before walking towards the door “actually.” Richard spoke making my eyebrows push together as I looked at him “we have a favor to ask.” He added making my arms cross my chest, the three of them shared a hesitant look before Ryan smile “buddy, pal, best friend.” He started making me roll my eyes “spill it.” I muttered with a breath “we need a trainer…ours quiet and we’re not as skilled as combat as you, it would be for a month until we could find a replacement or someone that you train takes over.” Richard finally spoke after a few seconds, I definitely wasn’t expecting that one, “wait let me get this straight.” I said with a small laugh trying to wrap my head about it, “you didn’t want me to help at your stupid event you claim was for my safety, but you were really just hiding another girl and now you actually do need my help, not just for your own benefit but to train your pack members?” I asked staring straight at Ryland who shifted uncomfortable under my gaze, the silence filled the air for a minute or two “see I told you guys she would get it!” Ryan finally beamed making all of us shoot a glare at him “my answer is no.” I muttered before walking out the door and back down the hall, a pair of footsteps jogged behind me, a hand grabbed my wrist making me look at Ryan, his eyes looked different and he didn’t have his normal happy aura around him “please Molly I know he f****d up, we all know he did…but as friends my pack needs help and you’re the best person we know, if you don’t want him around you I’ll make sure he doesn’t cross your path but don’t hate the rest of us for a bad choice on his part.” Ryan pleaded quietly making me pause, as I stared at him for a few seconds “please?” He asked again making me take a deep breath my hand reaching up to pinch the bridge of my nose “fine.” I muttered making him grin “but.” I added quickly “if for any reason I say I’m done, you’ll let me walk away and never make ask me to come back.” I said poking his chest he let out a small laugh raising his hand “you have my word.” I glanced at his hand for a moment before taking it in mine shaking it with an unspoken deal, we started to walk back down the hall towards the stairs “so when do we leave?” I asked looking up at him “first thing tomorrow if that’s okay with you.” He replied making me pause half way down the stairs “tomorrow? I have to run it by Logan first.” I replied trying to come up with an excuse “already did!” He beamed back making me growl as I walked past him and into the kitchen
So this was it, I was actually agreeing to go back to his home, would Abby actually still be around? Would training them be as easy as training my guys? If it was I could probably get in done sooner then a month, was I actually prepared for this? I picked at my sandwich running questions in and out of my head, Ryan went off to do god knows what and most of the pack were in and out of the house. The chair beside me pulled out and the little blond girl took the seat without hesitation “how are you feeling?” She asked with a smile leaning forward, I smiled back running my fingers through her hair “I’m all better, thank you for the stuffed animal it helped me very much.” I replied making her grin “me turtle always makes me feel better when I’m hurt or sad, I’m happy he can help you too!” She beamed making me laugh “well you’ll have to keep him safe for me until I get back, I may need him again.” I spoke leaning back in my chair as confusion flashed across her face “where are you going?” She asked almost sounding defeated, I took a deep breath “to help alpha rylands pack, they need training for a little.” I answered making her pout “but you’ll come back?” She asked making me look at her, a sad smile curled on my lips “for you Aurora I’ll always come back.” I spoke making her smile as she gave me a quick hug before running off leaving me with my own thoughts for a little longer.
I stayed the night in my own house, spending time with my parents, I knew I had their support in any choice I made, and while my father wanted to beat the s**t out of Ryland he understood I was going for training and now for him, my mother had a more calm approach with me, letting me know if at any point I was ready to leave I could come home. I knew I would come back she was right this was my home and it always would be. I didn’t sleep as well as I did the night before but I was still up by the time ryland showed up with a gentle knock on the door. I swing my duffle bag over my shoulder and opened the door “ready to go?” He asked holding a travel coffee mug towards me, I smirked taking the cup with a shrug “as ready as I’ll ever be.” I replied taking the cup, he held his hand out for my bag to which I simply shook my head at him and walked towards the car. I loaded my bag into the back of the truck before getting into the passenger seat, despite my preference ryland drove me, and on top of that he refused to let me drive, and he calls me the stubborn one.
