Chapter 10

She put the dress and heels aside and went to shower. After showering, she dialled Rayan's number again, but it was still switched off.

"Why is his phone off....gosh Rose, forget him," she muttered and laid to sleep.

The next day on campus, she met Anna.

"Long time no see girl," Anna said dramatically, and Rose laughed.

"You're talking as if it's been decades since we last saw," Rose said

"I just missed you, that's all," Anna pouted

"Miss you too" ...

They hugged each other.

"Will you be on Titus party tonight. It's gonna be fire. " Anna squirk

"Yeah, I guess. Rayan wants me to be there, " Rose said, and Anna eyed her

"Hmm, so it's his wants now,"

"Silly," Rose chuckles.

While they were talking, Eric showed up with his cheerful smile as usual

"Hi ladies," he stood next to Rose.

"Eric, hi," Rose replied

"Who is he?" Anna asked, looking at Eric.

"He's Eric, we met yesterday. He's new on campus. Eric, this is Anna, my best friend, " Rose said, and the two waved at each other.

"He's good looking," Anna wispered to Rose, who giggled

"What are you girls whispering about?" Eric asked

"Nothing." Anna laughed.

The three walked to class together. The girls couldn't stop staring at Eric.

Some girls were even comparing Rayan and Eric. Eric is studying politics. He wants to become a politician just like his father.

Throughout the day, Rose couldn't see Titus or Rayan around, which was weird, but at least she is not too bored, but she still misses him, especially his playfulness and sweet talks.

"This guy is seriously messing with my head," she muttered to herself.

"So will you come for Titus party Eric?" Anna asked as they sat down on the cafeteria

"Who's Titus?" he asked,

"One of the hottest guys in school," she said, and he nodded.

"No, I will pass." He's not the party type

"You're gonna miss the fun," Anna frown.

"But I wasn't invited,"

"But I'm inviting you now," she said, and he just nodded.

"I will send you the address later,"

"Alright."

Rose stayed silent the whole time.

"Babe, are you ok?" Anna asked

"Yeah, I am." Rose said and looked at them

"You seem quiet,"

"Not really. I don't have anything to say. " she smiled at her friend and continued to eat her food.

Anna texted Titus house address to Eric

"I have to go now. See you girls tonight." Eric siad and parted ways with the girls.

Rose was not really in her mood. She got dressed and drove to Titus house. The house was on fire, so many vibes. Rose sat in a corner to avoid too much attention. Not long, Eric joined her.

"Wow, you look like a Goddess as always," Eric said, and she laughed.

"And you look good too,"

Eric couldn't take his eyes off Rose, and every time she cut him ,he would just smile and look away. Titus was with his girlfriend Sarah. Rose wanted to ask him about Rayan but decided not to.

Rayan couldn't stop blabbering about Titus's party, but why wasn't he here. She was confused, and even Anna is not here as well.

"Rose," Titus calls out to her.

"Happy birthday," she said and walked up to him.

"Thanks, uhm. Rayan has a really high fever. That's why he's not here."

It's like he already read her mind.

"That's bad. How can I see him." She said, and Titus looked at her. He never thought that she would want to see his friend.

"You want to see him?" he asked to be sure of his thought.

"Yeah. I want to see him, " she said. She's missing him badly.

"I will text you his house address," he said and texted her Rayan's address

" I will inform him that you're coming over,"

"Ok, thanks," she said, and he smiled

"You're welcome. Anything for my sister in law "

Rose couldn't help but smile when Titus called her his sister in law.

"I will go now," he said and left.

Immediately, Titus left. Anna showed up.

"Thank goodness you are here. I'm going somewhere, " she said, picking up her bag.

"Where?" Anna asked

"To Rayan's house"

"Hmm," Anna smiled suspiciously.

"It's not what you are thinking. He's sick, and I want to see him, " Rose said quickly

"I didn't say anything." Anna laugh.

"Uhm, Eric. I will see you on campus on Monday. " she turned to Eric, who was sitting, listening quietly all along

"Ok, take care." he's not happy that she's leaving just to go see another guy.

"Ok bye guys," she said and left.

"Guess it's only the two of us here." Anna smiled at Eric

"Yeah," he groaned.

Rose got in her car and drove to Rayan place. He had a duplex mansion. She pressed the car horn, and the caretaker came to confirm if she's the one his boss was talking about. He opened the gate and she drove the car straight in.

Inside the compound is beautiful, so many cars with his super speed bike.

"Welcome, mam," Jacob greeted.

"Where's Rayan?" She immediately asked

"He's upstairs in his room. The first room on your right"

"Ok, thanks. "...

Rose entered the mansion and was amazed

"Such a beautiful duplex"

She quickly went upstairs, bend to the right, and pressed the button on the door but got no response.

She opened the door and saw him laying down sleeping soundly. She walked up to him and first touched his forehead.

"He's burning hot,"

She took off her heels and placed them aside, including her bag. She went into the bathroom and came back with a bowl full of cold water and a small towel. She placed the towel in the water and later squeezed it. She began to wipe his skin

"Ahhh," he groaned.

"It's me," she said, and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Rose," he muttered

"You could have called me," she said soundly pissed.

"I'm sorry," he said, looking at her.

"It's just that I'm not used to people babysitting me when I'm sick," he said, and she scoffed.

"Was that why you didn't call?"

"Butterfly "

"Don't Butterfly me," she snapped

"I'm sorry," he said, and she looked at him.

"Really "

He sat down on the bed.

"Yeah."

She just rolled her eyes.

"Where's your medicine box?" she asked

"Over there," he pointed to the table.

She went there to get it. Rayan couldn't help but starred, she's looking so darmn sexy and he could feel his c**k twisting in his pants.

She came back and sat down next to him.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked, and he smiled

"Here, take this." she gave him some pills and he took it.

"Have you eaten?" she asked, placing the medicine box aside.

"Yeah," he noded

"Ok, then rest yourself. I will be downstairs, " she said and stood up.

"Ok," he noded and laid down to sleep.

She covered him with the duvet and went downstairs. It was some minutes after 7 in the evening. Rose decided to watch some movie. After the movie ended, it was 10 minutes passed nine. She knew that her dad would be worried, so she called Anna.

"Hello,"

"Babe, are you still at the party?" She asked

"No, I'm home. Eric and I felt bored so we came home, where are you? " Anna asked

"I'm still at Rayan's place,"

"Really?" Anna gasped

"I'm taking care of him," Rose said.

"Really or are you two doing fishy things?"

"Stop being dirty minded, Anna."

"Just kidding." Anna laughed.

"Anyway, please call my dad and tell him that I'm sleeping over at your place and make it look real," she said.

"Such a cunning daughter," Anna chuckles

"Anna...."

"Alright, fine, I will do it..."

"Now,"

"Yeah, so drop the line."

"Ok, thanks," Rose said and cut the call. She had texted her father that she was sleeping at Anna's place, but he was doubting her, so she wanted to make it look real.

She couldn't leave Rayan in such a bad state. Not too long a man barged in.

"Rayan, Rayan," the man shouted. Then his eyes cut Rose.

"Sir, how may I help you?" She shivered in fear. The man really scared the s**t out of her.

Mr Anderson smiled politely.

"Hi I'm Rayan's father, is my boy around" he asked

"Yes sir. He is..."

Rose felt a little relief now that she recognised him.

"Please have a seat. I will get you something to drink " she said and he noded. She got him a glass of wine.

"Thanks " Mr Anderson smiled

"You're welcome "

"By the way who are you to my son" he asked and Rose smiled awkwardly.

"I'm his....

"She's my girlfriend dad "

The two looked up and saw Rayan climbing down the stairs.

"Your girlfriend " his father wanted to make sure.

"Yes dad. She's my girl " Rayan said looking directly in Rose's eyes. She's totally speechless, at this point she didn't even care if it's all a game or not. He has claimed her so now it's her time to claim him as well.
