Chapter 16

Rose got through with her class and met Anna out.

"Gosh, I'm tired," she groaned

"Me too," Anna said.

"Come on,let's go grab something to eat."

On their way to the cafeteria, they met Eric. He just got through with his class also.

"Where are you girls heading?" he asked

"To the cafeteria." Anna said

"Wanna come with us," She asked

"Yeah," Eric noded.

Together, the three of them went to the cafeteria.

Rayan was heading out of the building when a girl approached him with a flower bouquet in her hands.

"Hi." She smiled at him.

"Hi, how may I help you?" he asked, checking his wristwatch for the time.

"I like you, so I bought this for you," she said, and Rayan looked at her.

"Sorry, but I have a..."

"I know you have a girlfriend. I just like you, please take it, " she said, giving him the bouquet.

"Ok," he collected the bouquet from the girl.

"Thanks," she smiled.

"You don't look familiar to me," he said

"Well, my name is Marissa. I'm a freshman here. I started Thursday with my cousin. I've heard a lot about you, " she explained.

"Ok then, I guess you already know my name," he said, and she nodded.

"I do, but I still want you to introduce yourself for me"

"Rayan Anderson," he said.

"Then I will call Ray. Is that ok? " she asked

"Yeah."

"Alright, thanks for accepting the bouquet," she hugged him, and he was surprised.

"I will leave now, bye,"

"Bye,"

Rayan looked at the girl retreating figure.

"Another lover of yours "

Rayan turns around to see his best friend.

"Sems like you are looking for Rose trouble," Titus said.

"No, she's not my girl. She's just a friend, " Rayan said.

"Really. I've never heard of Rayan having a female friend before, and why did she give you a bouquet? "

"I don't really know her intention."

"That's the price of being too handsome. Got to be careful. " Titus smirck.

"I'm not into her," Rayan snapped.

"I know you're not into her, but you're into her pantie." Titus said sarcastically.

"And why would I do that?" Rayan frown.

"Because that's your favourite place ,"

"I'm not into her, and I don't care if you believe me or not. Besides, she looks naive and too small for my liking, " Rayan said, and Titus looked at him.

"Are you still the same old Rayan?"

"Have I added weight, or do I have horns on my head?"

Rayan scoffed, and his friend laughed.

"Relax, bro. I was just joking. "

"I don't have time for your nonsense," Rayan groaned.

"Languages " Titus smack his head.

"Ouch, do you want to break my head?" Rayan groaned in pain.

"We are not equal. I'm older than you, " Titus said.

"f**k that " Rayan hissed and Titus laugh again.

The two of them headed to the cafeteria. Rayan eyes cut Rose, who was laughing at whatever Eric was telling her.

"Who is he?" he asked Titus.

"Who?"

"The guy near Rose "

"Her boyfriend," Titus said, and Rayan glared at him

"Are you jealous or what?" Titus laughed.

"Jealous, no way," Rayan scoffed.

"Is quite obvious. Tell me something, have you already fallen for her? " Titus wispered to his friend.

"Of course not," Rayan snapped, and Titus smirck.

"Just joking, dude. Don't be a shocker. " Titus siad.

"I don't like that," Rayan frown.

"Sorry. Well, I think they are friends, probably a new student. Rose even brought him to the party, " Titus explained

"He was there with her,"

"Yeah." Titus noded.

Rayan looked at Rose and Eric again.

"Come on. Let's go eat, " he said to Titus.

After they took their food, there was no vacant table for them to sit.

"Darmn, the place is crowded. Where should we sit?" Rayan asked.

"Look, there are two empty chairs at Rose's table. Let's go there, " Titus said, and he nodded.

"Look, Rayan is here," Anna said immediately. Rayan's approach them.

Rose turned around, and their eyes met. He placed his food down and said down next to her.

"Are you ok?" she asked when he noticed that he's too quiet.

"Yeah, I'm good." he smiled.

"I'm still hungry," Rose mumbled.

"You can join me," Rayan said, and Anna smiled.

"That's my nice brother in law "

Anna was about to join Rayan when Rose stopped her.

"Where are you going. Find someone to eat with, the two of us are eating " Rose siad.

"That's being mean," Anna pouted

"Who cares?" Rose rolls her eyes, and Rayan chuckles.

"You can join me," Eric said to Anna

"Thanks." she smiled and joined him to eat while Rose ate with Rayan.

"Guess I'm the only lonely eater here," Titus muttered.

"Go get your girlfriend," Rayan said, and Titus laughed.

"You don't have to tell me because next time I'm dragging her right here with me." Titus said.

"So girls, who's this new guy here. I remember seeing him at my party. " Titus turned to Eric.

"Guys, this is Eric. He's a new student. He started Thursday, " Anna said.

"Nice meeting you. I'm Titus, by the way. "

"I'm Eric,"

Rayan had his interest in his food.

"Won't you at least introduce yourself too?" Rose wispered to him.

"No need. I'm not interested in being his friend.

"So cold," she muttered.

"Rayan, won't you say hi to our new friend?" Titus said.

"I don't remember telling you he's also my friend," Rayan scoffed and continued eating.

"Don't mind him. He's just being a cold ass." Titus said, and Eric noded.

"His name is Rayan, my sweet brother in law, Rose boyfriend," Anna said smiling.

"Jeez girl, he didn't ask you for that," Rose said.

"But I felt like telling him," Anna said, and Rayan smirck.

Eric looked at Rayan, who had his entire attention on his meal. He didn't like Rayan at all, especially for Rose. He felt jealous that a beauty was with Rayan and not him.

"Who give you these flowers?" Rose asked, looking at the bouquet.

"It's from a friend," Rayan said, and Eric looked at the flowers. It looked kind of familiar.

"A friend," she emphasised on the word.

"Yeah," he noded.

"Uhm, I need to go use the bathroom," Eric said and got up.

"Ok." Anna noded, and he left.

"Rayan, what you did just now wasn't cool. Eric seems to be a nice guy, " Titus said.

"To you but not me." Rayan looked at his friend.

"Titus is telling you the truth. Eric is a nice guy, " Rose said, and he looked at her.

"I don't want to see you around him," he said sternly, and Rose went speechless.

Titus knew where his friend was coming from. Eric seems to like Rose, probably that's why Rayan doesn't want her around him. But the question that's bothering him is, " Is Rayan already falling for Rose ? because it seems like it to him.

"You don't have to take it that way besides, they are good friends," Anna said.

"For how long?" he directed his question to Rose.

"Since Thursday," Rose answered.

"You just met someone a few days ago, and you two are good friends already,"

"That's because she's not unfriendly like you," Titus said, getting annoyed.

"Oh really,"

Titus saw the hurt in his friends, and he felt bad. He of all people knew why Rayan never liked people easily.

"I'm sorry," he quickly apologised.

"It's okay." Rayan got up leave.

"You don't have to leave. Ok, fine, I will stay away from him, " Rose said immediately.

"You don't have to, Rose. He's your good friend. " With that, he left. Rose felt bad for making the two friends fight.

"Why is Rayan like that, why he doesn't like people?" Anna asked.

"I can't tell, but all I can say is that Rayan has been through a lot. He has a really dark past. I should have been more careful with my words." Titus explained

"It's all my fault," Rose said.

"It's not your fault, babe," Anna said

"Can't you see he was angry. I will go and talk to him.

She woke up and followed him.

Rayan was on his way out when he met Eric, the two of them glared at each other, and then he walked away.

"He's so full of himself," Eric muttered.

"You're right," another person said. Eric turned around to see a boy.

"I'm melvin," the boy said.

"I'm Eric. Do you know him? " he asked.

"Who doesn't know Rayan. His father is a multi billionaire, the 3rd richest man in the world, and Rayan is the most famous Playa in California. " Melvin asked.

"Playa." Eric was shocked.

"You heard me right. I saw you at the table. You two don't seem to get along. "

"I don't know what's his problem , Eric said.

"The problem is you..

"Me why?" Eric asked.

"You are messing with his girl,"

"You mean Rose,"

"Yeah," Melvin noded

"But I thought Playas didn't date," Eric asked.

"Yeah, it's true. That's why I'm suspecting that there is something fishy going on between them. " Melvin siad.

"Then why am I involved. Rose and I are just friends. " Eric grumbles

"I don't think so. I can see it in your eyes that you like her. "

Eric went mute.

"Well I.. "

Eric tried to say something, but Rose showed up.

"Hi guys," she said to them.

"Hi, pretty,"Melvin smiled at her.

"Uhm Eric, did you see Rayan?" She asked.

"Yeah, he just passed. I think he's heading to the parking lot." He siad.

"Thanks." she smiled and ran towards the parking lot.

"They are even wearing a matching outfit." Melvin smirck.

"So, do you like her?" he asked again.

"Well, she's nice and cool," Eric said.

"You're up for a big fight, dude." Melvin said.

"What do you mean?" Eric was confused.

"I can help you get her." Melvin smiled.

"How?" Eric asked.

"Just leave it to me. Are you in or not? "

Eric looked at Melvin and smiled

"I'm in," he said, and Melvin smirck...

When Rose reached the parking lot, she saw Rayan. He was about to enter his car.

"Rayan!" She yelled his name, and he turned around. She ran up to him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I'm sorry." she muttered in tears. He pulled her by the waist and looked into her eyes.

"You are crying, why?" he asked.

"It's because you're mad at me" she said, and he chuckled.

"I'm not mad. How can I get mad at my queen? " he said and wiped away her tears.

She held his cheek in her hand.

"Butterfly I'm not mad at...."

She crashed her lips on his. He swallowed back his words as the kiss was unexpected. He could taste her sweet scent, so amazing. He didn't waste any time, he reciprocated the kiss as his hands moved to her waist once again.
