CHAPTER ONE❤️ "Bella,hurry up we're going to be late" my mom shouts at me from downstairs. "Coming, give me a sec" I shout back at her (sigh) Hi, I'm Bella and that person that just shouted my name is my mom, and incase you're wondering where we're rushing to, it's the Airport, to pick my step Dad and step brother. Yeah, I know you're wondering what happened to my real Dad and probably real siblings, but I'm an only child. And about my Dad, he cheated on my mom with her best friend and that left my mom super depressed and sad for years and because of that I hate my dad cause i really cherish my mom, and i won't take it if anyone, i mean ANYONE, not even my new step Dad hurt her, but that's not the only reason why I hate my dad but that's a story for another day. So few years after the separation, my mom just jumped up and thought, why would I mortgage my life when he's there enjoying his,so she went on a dating app (behind my back) and found a guy, then they started dating (also behind my back ) of course when I found out I was mad at her, because we tell each other everything but then she hides this from me?, but she's my mom and I love her so much and she deserves to be happy. So I accepted it and voila here we are, going to the airport, to pick him and his step son,and guess what, she just told me about him today, like God, I was so pissed,I still am but then again, her happiness is my priority, after all if he could accept me then who am I to say otherwise, I just hope he isn't trouble because I've read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies about how some step brothers bullies the sister or worse case they end up falling in love. We'll, I don't even mind because, one, I know he can't bully me and two, I have a boyfriend so there's no way I'm going to fall in love with him and then we'll now be having a secret relationship, eww 🤮 I run down the stairs towards my angry looking faced mom as she's already going to the car. And another thing, I'm sharing my room with him, its as if my parents planned for just one child. "Jasmine, you see, now we're late" my mom scolds as she looks at her watch "Sorry mom, but mom, do I really have to come with you, I mean you guys are still coming home, it's not like we're going somewhere from the airport. "I know, but we have to show them that we accept both him and his son" my mom says " urggg" AT THE AIRPORT (NOTE: AUTHOR'S POV) "I guess your mom and sister are running late, it's probably traffic" Mr Jayden says, "or they've changed their minds and left us" Jason says. "Don't say that" Mr Jayden says, "well Dad, I'm pressed, I'm going to use the restroom " Jason says "Cool" Mr Jayden says and then Jason goes back inside the airport. FIVE MINUTES LATER (JASMINE'S POV) "Hi honey, sorry we're late, someone was taking her precious time" My mom said hugging him. "It's fine baby, she's a girl, and girls takes their time" I look at the tall man that just defended me and I won't lie, he's kinda cute for his age, I wonder if his son is cute like him. "Oh Bella, it's nice to finally meet you " Mr Jayden says and I just nodded, your mom has told me so much about you" he said, " yeah, it's nice to meet you too Mr Jayden, oh sorry, can I call you Mr Jayden?,I'm not used to calling you Dad" I said and my mom gave me a warning look. " what?, just asking " I said in defence, " it's fine dear, you can, I know how it can be" he said Speaking of the son, where is he, I look around and see a tall handsome guy standing few feet away from us, pressing his phone, is that him? I ask myself, and as if my mom read my mind. "Where's Jason" she asks Jason, hm, nice name, I think "He just went back inside to use the restroom, he should be back by now, let me give him a call" Mr Jayden said As we were about to carry the things into the car, I saw a Greek god like super hot 🔥 guy with deep blue ocean eyes, chocolate hair and a sharp collar bone,walking towards us, oh God, he was perfect, oh lord, please let this not be him, but as if the universe hated me. "Hi Dad, " he said in his deep masculine voice that touched my soul, oh could he be more perfect, what am I saying, he's your step brother Bella,stop thinking nonsense. "Jason, there you are, I was just about to call you, well since you're here, let's start going and oh this is your step mom Emily,and I'm sure you don't know Bella your step sister because I didn't tell you about her, sorry about that, Mr Jayden says and then Jason turned to look at me with his ocean eyes that could make anyone melt away. "Nice to meet you" he said and smiled, showing his perfectly arranged white teeth, oh God help me. "Oh, I... it... its nice to meet you " I said stammering. And as if he knew what he was doing to me, he chuckled. "Okay, shall we go" my mom said "Yeah let's go " Mr Jayden said We both walked behind them, while they were holding their hands acting all lovey dovey. "I think I should drive " Mr Jayden says and mom just nodded and handed him the keys after we finished putting their bags in the trunk we all entered in and I sat as far as possible away from Jason so that I won't be tempted to touch him. BELLA'S POV❤️ I mistakenly dropped my phone on the car seat and then it rolled to him when Mr Jayden was turning and Jason picked it up and handed it to me, as I was collecting it, our hands touched and it was like my whole world was complete, then I said " thank you " and he just smiled, but then mom broke our moment What am I saying? which moment? "So Jason, you're going to be in the same school and class as Bella okay?" She said and smiled. And I was so happy because now I'll see him not only at home but in school as well, but then when I remembered all the beautiful girls in my class my smile dropped. What if they try to flirt with him? which I know they would, oh no, what if he flirts with them? my mind was just going to a lot of what ifs in my head, but then again why do I care? It's not like I like him. My name being called snapped me out of my thoughts. "Bella " my mom said, " what's wrong? Why the frown? She asked. "Nothing " I said and I turned to look at Jason and he had the worried look on his face, I don't know why though, weird. "I said that you should please show Jason around and also, help him with your notes too, and oh please help me make dinner, okay?" She said smiling. "Dinner? Why? Where are you guys going?" I asked not really liking the idea of both of us alone at home. "Well, Jayden is taking me out for dinner " she said and I just sighed, " okay" I said and she smiled. "Thanks baby girl, I love you " she said "love you too mom" I answered smiling, I didn't know Jason was just staring at me all through. JASON'S POV🥰 When my Dad told me that he had started dating someone, I was very happy for him, because since my mom died, he became a totally different person and I really didn't like it, I wanted my Dad back. Then a few years ago, I talked to him and told him that mom wouldn't be happy seeing him like this and to my surprise he agreed, then I told him about this dating app and he decided to give it a try, which made me so happy and then he told me that he had found a match and that they had started dating which made me happy for him but then he told me that we were moving to New York. This I didn't like because, I would have to leave my friends,school and my life behind and start all over again and then I asked him why we must move and the reply he gave me was so sad, he said, "because, if i stay here, I'll never move on" and I didn't want that, so I agreed. Then he told me that she had a daughter my age and I just said okay to make him happy, but deep down I didn't want trouble, I'm this kind of quiet person, although people thinks I'm a bad boy or a player but nahh, I'm not. So when we got to the airport and I saw her, my God, she was really beautiful, I mean I had to stop myself from drooling and I could see that she was affected by my good looks, I mean who isn't?, even I, am affected by it and then she spoke, DAMN, her voice was as soft as a kitten, I just hope I won't develop feelings for her, but I think I have a little crush. And when her mom said that we would attend the same school and be in the same class I was delighted. I couldn't control myself and I started to stare at her when she was speaking with her mom. But,then I thought, what if she has a boyfriend and just only fancies my good looks, it would actually be good because we're step siblings and shouldn't have feelings for each other, but even though, me seeing her with another guy that isn't me in my head is already making me angry. I had to calm myself down, and that's when I caught her staring at me with those big beautiful chocolates eyes of hers. BELLA'S POV❤️ After he caught me staring and I looked away, the drive home was very awkward and the fact that we would stay at home alone tonight wasn't going to help matters. When we got home, mom and Jayden went inside their room to prepare for dinner and I and Jason went to our room (it feels weird to say "our") to help sanitize his side of the room and incase you're wondering, yes we're sharing a room. My dad and mom wanted only one kid, so they prepared for only one kid,but I just thank God its spacious enough for two people, so mom went and bought a bed and bed stand for him. "Thanks for helping me and sorry for the inconvenience " Jason says out of the blue which surprised me. "Oh, no need to thank me, I promised mom that I would do it and I always keep my promise, especially to her " I said and he smiled. I looked outside and I saw it was about to rain, I hate when it rains. "Bella, Jason " my mom called and we both went down to answer her. "I and Jayden are going now, be good okay? She said and we both nodded.
