“MEGARA, THANK THE HEAVENS you’re safe.” The Dean poured me a hot cup of tea in his office, having locked the door and all the prying ears out of the room. I trembled in the chair where I sat, the run from the Veil and the pure adrenaline I’d had in my system now leeching away and leaving a hole. “How long have I been gone?” I asked, as I reached for the cup and warming my hands on the tea. I was truly interested to know what the time gap would be. “Since last night.” I stared at him. Seriously? It had been six whole days in Faerie. “Really? It felt so much longer than that.” I sipped at the tea, the sugary warmth filling my belly and making my body shiver that little bit less.
