When Todd started awake—when had he fallen asleep?—the book he’d been reading was on the bed beside his hip, and a heavy weight pressed down on his chest. Craning his neck to look wasn’t really necessary; Todd recognized the weight on him even before he was completely awake. Nick had pulled the chair close enough to the bed that his rear end was firmly planted in the seat, but the rest of him was draped over Todd, long arms sprawled out. He was out like a light, which gave Todd some relief. His mate had finally succumbed to exhaustion. Nick obviously needed sleep, and now he was getting some. Except, Nick looked incredibly uncomfortable in his haphazard slouch across Todd. Winding his fingers in Nick’s hair, Todd gave a gentle tug. Nick turned his head, lifting so his chin rested on Todd
