“My goodness. I wonder where that poor girl could be…” the maid said wearily. They searched everywhere, but there was no trace of the young girl they all loved so dearly. ... The house was seemly quiet. Claudia looked around. Listening. Not a sound, an eerie silence, this worried her a bit. However, this was probably the only change she was going to get to escape this nightmare. She stepped out of bed and quietly walked towards the door. ‘Ding...Dong...’ a clock went. “Hm..it must be midnight here now...” she thought to herself, trembling a bit as she slowly creaked the door open to see a big room full of toys, dolls and sweet things a girl could ask for. She looked at it, drawn to it she started to walk into the room. “Stop! Don’t go in there! You won’t be able to come out again!” a little boys voice said. Claudia quickly spun around to see a boy in trouser shorts, long socks that went up to his chins, white dress shirt and suspenders looking at her. She was speechless. She eyed him for a bit. He looked... Familiar somehow... “W..who are y..you?” she stuttered. Her mind racing as fast as that of a hummingbird’s heart. “I... I’m Henry…” he looks down. Sadness and despair was written all over and soon Claudia started to cry. These were not tears of sadness nor joy… but tears of fear… she could only think of one reason why she would be seeing her dead uncle… one whom she has never met… she thought to herself “I am dead…” she looked up and the boy was gone… vanished… she began to weep more... In her disappear she hears them, the voices that she hoped she had escaped “Oh Claudia! I know you are here somewhere! Don’t let your parents worry about you now!” Her body trembled at the sounds. How could she escape? She couldn’t remember where she was anymore… “I must not give up just yet” she whispers to herself. She looks around and it seems that she is surrounded in black and then it happens. She turns around to find her mother standing above her with a crazed, insane. No, Murderous Look in her eyes and Claudia instantly runs the other direction as her mother laughs. A Frightening, Malevolent laugh that sent a shiver down her spine. She ran until she would not run any longer and then she saw it. A knife laying on the ground, and she knew what she had to do. Before Claudia could pick up the knife her father appeared and grabbed her by the neck, she could feel herself struggling for air, her breath wheezy, her heart beating loudly in her ears, throbbing at her throat where his hand was gripping, tighter and tighter. She tried to scream but all that came out was a gasp and soon her mother appeared. She was terrified, what was she going to do? She could slowly feel herself suffocate as her body began to go limp and suddenly, everything was black. ... “Claudia! Where are you!” the nurse called out still searching for the girl, unknowing of the fate that had just befallen her…
