Chapter Thirteen

I sat up when I heard Eva confess that she was afraid of Hazel, how can a little child be a threat to an adult? Could she be making this up or could it be that something happened that created the fear of Hazel in her? I need to know why she said it.

" What possible threat can a five-year-old pose to you? " I asked her wanting to hear her explanation.

I knew Finley was going to see me like I am mad for saying such a thing but I have to tell him because I don't want to fight or argue with him over Hazel's issues again, I have missed my mate and I don't intend to continue the fight.

" There is something that happens six months ago, when the boys started walking, they were playing with Hazel and I left to quickly take my bath, and suddenly I heard one of the boys scream, I could not help but rushed out of the bathroom to see one of the toys in flames and flames was coming out from Hazel's mouth and when I ran to the kitchen to get water to switch the flames off, I discovered that she used her hands to set the fire off. Her hand has turned to ice and this she used to cool off the flame," I explained to him and I can see that he was surprised to hear this.

" Are you telling me, that Hazel can split out fire from her mouth and create ice at such a young age, what kind of supernatural is she?" I know we have such a being in the werewolf kingdom that could cajole balls of fire from their hands and use it as a weapon but never from the mouth and not at a young age. This is coming as a shock to me and I can not understand her abilities.

" I was also surprised to see it happened before my eyes and ever since I have prevented her from playing with the kids,"

" Please I need you to be patient while I find out why she has such ability, I was able to perceive that she was a child of a werewolf when I found her in the forest and never expect that she will also have the ability of a dragon, and don't create a wedge between her and the kids, it will make her feel she is the worst person" I know it is a dragon that has the ability to do so, could it be she is a hybrid or a witch.

" How do you want me to stay calm when I don't know what will aggravate her anger and she set the house aflame?" I heard her say. She has every reason to be afraid but Hazel is not a wicked person and there must be a reason for her ability to come to the surface.

" I know you have a reason to be afraid but if Hazel had intended to hurt any one of us, she would have done so a long time ago, probably she did it to show off her abilities out of excitement and could not control it from burning the toy," I gave her my view concerning Hazel's ability.

" You might be right but how do we help her to control it, she is still a baby and would not understand that we are helping her," She said and I see that there was a logical sense in what she said.

" Leave that to me and I will find a way out of it soon, just don't push her away because it will make her see herself as a demon that does not deserve to be among people," I plead with her, she needs to allow her to feel she is not a bad person so that she doesn't end up being a bad person.

" What do you intend to do about it? It's not as if you can take her powers away?" She asked.

" What I am going to do is not take her powers away but help her to discover who she was and help her use her ability to protect her loved ones," I explain to her, Hazel has a weapon that needs to be explored and I intend to do so. No wonder the moon goddess brought her to me, if she falls into the hands of someone evil, she will be turned into an evil weapon.

" I will need you to do something for me while I find out more about the kind of supernatural Hazel is, I don't want anyone to know about this," Finley says to Eva. If the news spread of her ability a lot of people would want to have her for their evil deeds so I need to protect her.

" You mean I should not tell Zoe too, she has been part of this from the very beginning and she needs to know," She suggested to me. I know she was right but I need to protect Zoe too because the fewer people who knew of her ability the fewer the people in danger. Hazel might be the reason why the pack has been suffering from rogue attacks recently and this is becoming an everyday thing.

" Yes, she has been involved from the very beginning but not fully involved so let's just keep it between the family,"

" Okay, but whatever you are planning on doing, do not delay, so that we can help her before it is too late," She advised.

I am happy I have been able to resolve the issues with her without leading to an argument between us,

" I told you our mate is not a wicked person, I asked you to speak to her, but your d**k head refuses to?" Fred says to me.

" You were right and I was wrong for not listening to you," I said and rolled my eyes

" You better apologize to her," He added.

" Fred can you just let this be, I am going to make peace with her," I know he will persist that I settle this once and for all.

I looked at Eva and I realized she has been right to have reacted the way she did, that is being afraid but not the flogging aspect of it, or preventing her from associating with the kids, which would make her feel she is a bad person. She should have kindly explained to me.

" I am sorry for having reacted the way I did, but you should have explained to me and also you should not have turned hostile to her but rather tell me so that we can find a logical solution to her powers,"

" I'm sorry too for reacting the way I did without telling you my reasons for reacting the way I was reacting, I regret raising my hands to beat her because of her ability, she was not the one who created herself, I just didn't know what to do or how to explain myself," I heaved a sigh of relief when she said those words, peace has returned to my home again and this gives me joy

" Now let's celebrate our forgiveness night, remember you asked for tequila and it has been sitting down on ice waiting for us to consume it," I said while I went to get the drinks and glasses. This is going to be another round of ecstasy.
