Time Be Still
Everybody around me was frozen in time and standing like statues, including people in cars, men on bicycles, and babies in strollers. I was the only one who seemed to be moving and able to think. It was as if the world had stopped turning, and I was the only one left.

I stumbled back, my heart pounding in my chest. I had to get out of there, but where could I go? The frozen world stretched out in all directions, offering no escape. And as the man closed in on me, I knew that I was trapped.
I turned and ran, but I knew it was too late. The man was right behind me, his ragged breath hot on my neck. And as I felt his cold hands close around my throat, I knew that this was the end.
I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the worst. And then...
