I was in shock that the little girl recognized me. Her brother didn’t until I told him. How does she? I do look different than I did that night in the woods.
I broke the bear hug this kid had on me and asked, “How do you know who I am?”
“You were a rock, and then you became an eagle and flew away.” She giggled.
Oh my, this kid really does remember who I am. How?
“I don’t look the same. How did you know?” I asked her.
She shrugged and said, “Your eyes didn’t change.”
That was confusing. “My eyes? You recognized me by my eyes?” I asked her.
I had never had anyone say they knew who I was by my eyes.
“Eva is special. You will be surprised by what she picks up on,” Samantha said.
“Can you be the eagle again? That was fun!” Eva asked, ignoring everyone in the room.
