Ria's POV:
"Where the hell is that flirtatious b***h?!"
I looked up when a woman's scream suddenly echoed throughout the whole room, preventing me from hitting the ball. I shook my head, took a breath, and then adjusted my grip to the cue to continue playing. But I was taken aback when the balls suddenly spread across the table.
I felt so irritated and looked up again when I noticed a woman in front of me. She appeared to be very angry based on the expression on her face. "You again, huh?" she exclaimed in surprise.
I rolled my eyes at her. I don't recognize her, but as far as I can remember, she was the one who rushed over to me here the other day. I raised an eyebrow at her, not intending to engage her in conversation.
"Why do you keep clutching my boyfriend?" I wanted to laugh out loud at her. I don't know what the hell she is talking about. What exactly is this girl saying? "What now ? Talk to me, b***h!"
"What are you saying?" I don't feel like talking to her, I don't even know her. Who is this boyfriend she is talking about?
"Don't be so mean, you kissed my boyfriend!" No matter how much I restrained myself, I ended up laughing at what she said. Excuse me? I don't remember kissing anyone.
"Who is your boyfriend, anyway?" I asked her, sarcastically.
In annoyance, she showed me her cell phone. It depicts a woman and a man kissing. Yeah, that's me. However, I was not the one who kissed that man first.
"Stay away from my boyfriend, b***h!" she yelled as she moved closer to me.
"Keep an eye on your boyfriend so he can't flirt with someone else," I said, smiling.
"It's your fault! He won't approach you if you don't flirt with him!"
I smirked, pissing her off. "You idiot."
"What did you just call me?!?"
"Stupid," I said once more. "I told you you are a fool. Is it even my fault if your boyfriend is really flirtatious and approaches anyone? Besides, he's not my type. He's all yours. Stick him in your lungs."
Because of what I said, she became even more irritated. Her eyes are nearly on fire with rage. "You have such a thick face, you're just really flirtatious, you keep on clinging to my boyfriend, who do you think you are —"
"You know what, it's not just your face that is funny, and also your stupidity," she became even more irritated as a result of what I said, and she was about to slap me when someone stopped her. Right, that's her boyfriend.
"Babe, that's enough. What are you even doing, huh ? You're screwing up again," the man said to his girlfriend.
"I'm not messing up, I'm just telling that b***h to stay away!" The woman almost struggled to free from her boyfriend's grip on her, but she was unable to do so because her boyfriend was stronger. "I warn you to stay away from us!"
"Oh, scary..." I pretended to be scared just to pissed her even more.
I heard the people around us laugh as she screamed in anger and marched away in my direction. I even overheard her boyfriend saying something to her, but she just yelled at him. War freak.
"That's scary," a guy I was playing with laughed sarcastically, and my other friends at the table who were fixing the ball that the woman had scattered earlier also laughed. "Ria, your turn to settle the ball."
I just shook my head and went back to shoot the ball. I was able to drop the first four balls, but I missed the next one, causing my friends to laugh again.
"Ria is too distracted right now because she was being rushed," Carl joked before taking his place at the table because he was the next to play.
I simply ignored him and observed his every move. While watching him, I leaned against the adjacent billiard table.
"This election is very controversial, right? The Santillans are now back."
I turned around when I heard the conversations of the groups of people at the adjacent table. I didn't know them, but I purposefully approached slowly in their direction just to hear what they were saying.
"I heard on the news today that the Silvenias are at risk in their position now," a man said.
"They're not going to lose the fight. I'm sure the Mayor will still win, but the Congressman is still a bit lopsided."
"Oh, that's true, especially when the Silvenias issue resurfaces. You know it's an election, that's pure vandalism."
"What's the issue, anyway?"
" Don't you know ? My mother said, the Silvenias are the perpetrators of their former political opponent's murder?"
"Really? Who is that opponent that you were talking about?"
"The Cla—"
He wasn't able to finish what he was about to say when I dropped the cue I was carrying on their table. I looked at them one by one, and their expressions were obviously shocked at what I had done. I just noticed that they were all still dressed in their school uniforms.
"You guys are too loud," I grumbled to them. "You should concentrate on your studies, not on the lives of others."
"Who is this one?" a man holding a bottle asked. It was a whisper, but I got the impression he meant to raise his voice so I could hear it.
I smirked. "You might be surprised when I introduce myself, young man." I sarcastically told him, leaving him stunned.
Both of the girls were bowed down, as if they were afraid to a fight. I just rolled my eyes at them before turning around to leave. I even heard my friends calling out to me, but I didn't bother turning around. I'm getting pissed off.
I came to a halt when my cellphone rang as I exited the billiards club. I smirked once again when I saw its name on the screen of my cellphone.
"What?" I asked flatly when I answered the phone call. "You can go out tomorrow, I'm on my way home anyway."
I immediately hung up and went inside my car. All of my annoyance suddenly vanished as a result of what I was thinking now.
Let the game begin.
