  MAGNAR'S POV   Half the day had passed, and we were no closer to finding her. My father’s insistence on locating a mere slave baffled me. She was nobody—just another cog in the wheel of pack labour. Yes, I knew she was the daughter of an Alpha from her previous pack, but here, in our pack, she was nothing more than a servant.   “Magnar, I think it’s fruitless now,” Braden said, breaking my train of thought. “There are no traces, no scent, nothing to go after.
