  VALERIA’S POV   A young wolf was assigned to show me around the area. He was barely out of his teens, lanky but with a spark of confidence in his gait. I assumed they chose him to make me feel at ease. His youth and demeanor exuded a sense of safety. The rest of the wolves had stayed back at the dilapidated cabin, likely to discuss my arrival.
