With a heavy breath, Lara jolted awake, for she dreamed that she was scorched by a bolt of lightning. Breathing heavily and looking at her surrounding which is scorched to nothing, she hissed in breath. Slowly the events passed in her mind, and she recognized that it wasn't a dream, but real events. She was really slammed by a thick bolt of lightning. And that supposed should have killed her. Then why is still she alive? Lara was stunned. She had no knowledge why.
Lara gulped as she felt her throat was thirsty for years, looking at the surroundings there are puddle of rainwater, without considering for anything she hastily move to it, and drank it with her hand. Satiated, she finally have time to think about her situation. The place she was in, and why she was here.
Before her memory of being burned by lightning, she remembered that she was in her room. After a long day in the office, she was about to take her, rest, when a flash of white light engulfed her and she lose consciousness, then the scene of lightning. Frowning, Lara was gobsmacked by the realization. Looking at her surrounding, and to her scorched and barely called office uniform, she was petrified. She transmigrated, like the novels she read.
Transmigration? For real?
From the novels she read to anime she watched, transmigration must have a medium, like a ring or a pendant, but she doesn't have that. She just wore a watch where she could watch the time, which is now broken because of lighning. The phone is also impossible for its also broken.
It seems that she was not summoned.
Thinking from this part, "System" Lara suddenly called. Then an errie silence answered. It also seems that there is no system.
Sighing, Lara looked at the sky dejectedly. Just how on earth on a billion of people, how unlucky or lucky she is, transmigration falls to her head. No one knows, and she to herself ignorant also.
Closing her eyes Lara slowly accepted the bizarre happening. Whatever happened, it already happened, and to the fact she's alive after the event, it means that she's lucky.
To this strange world or place, she have to live.
Opening her eyes with firmness she took a step. A step to this new world. A step for a brand new life.
