Aiyana "Aiyana! Wake up, sweetheart!" I jolt awake and look up to see my panicked mother. "Mama? What's wrong? What's going on?" "We need to go, come on!" She rushes me out of bed grabbing as many of my clothes as she dares, shoving them roughly into a bag. "Where's papa? Where's Liam? Where are we going?" That's when I notice she's crying. Mama never cries. She's one of the strongest women in our pack. She doesn't answer me, grabbing my stuffed wolf and handing it to me before pulling me quickly downstairs. She freezes when we get to the bottom of the steps, causing me to run into the back of her legs. I look around her and see a man I recognize but can't remember his name. I look up at mama and I've never seen her this scared before. "Damien... Please. Please just let us live. Let my daughter live. She's innocent." The man has a scary look on his face as he looks at mama. "You're right. But that didn't stop me from killing the Mother Luna. Nothing will stop me from extinguishing both the alpha and beta bloodlines. You two are the only ones left." "Please. We'll do anything." I can hear the heartbreak in her voice.
