Marina woke up with a start. Feeling for her bed lamp switch she bumps over her water bottle and lets out a scream. Switching on her light she looks around and finds no one around her. Her breathing still fast and uneven. Moving off the bed she cringes when pain shoots through her bones. “What the hell?” trying to get up again the pain subsides, and she moves around like there was no pain at all. Frowning she looks at the clock and sees it is nearly time for her to get up anyway. Before running a bath, she makes a cup of coffee and stares at it for a minute. This has been the strangest week ever. First the dreams, then the craving for coffee but the constant quarreling with her inner voice has been non-stop. It is like she has changed into a whole new person, well voice.
Sighing she rinses her cup and placing it back in the cupboard. She cannot leave dishes in her sink for 5 days if she gets to come back so quick. Looking at the clock, she jumps and runs to the shower. “see what happens if you day-dream and guess what……mmmm…. You should have packed last night, now we are going to be super late…”
“Can you stop it? I know I, like me by myself might be a little late. You are just here for the ride. It’s not like you have a body to show yourself….” A loud growl and an image of a wolf with green eyes flashes before her eyes. She nearly slips on the bathroom tile as the image reminds her of the wolf that has been haunting her dreams for 2 nights now. “I will soon”
The words that follow has her ice-cold and something is pulling her to look into the mirror. The green eyes that are staring back at her are beautiful but cold. The green eyes that are now replacing her very own blue eyes are staring at her as if to warn her to be careful.
Her phone ringing draws her attention away from the mirror and when she looks back her eyes are back to blue, back to being her own. Only when her phone starts ringing for the second time does she look away from her reflection and walk towards her phone. Seeing who the call is from she jumps into action, forgetting everything that just happened.
“Mike, yes, hi! I am on my way. I should not be too long……” After 30 seconds on the phone she runs to her room to pack all she could in 5min. After grabbing her toiletries and throwing them in her bags she runs out her department and heads straight for Mike’s car. “What happened with Tyros?”
