Chapter 47: Found
The cave swallowed me whole. I looked from my left to right, wished I hadn’t entered the damn thing, and almost immediately thought about turning around and making a quick exit. Colby Brae had become lost, though, and his father needed me to help find him. The last thing we both wanted was a missing kid on our hands for the next forty-eight hours or more, national media coverage, and a string of local authorities with flashing lights and megaphones. Panicked, I called out the child’s name again, fearing for my life at that pitch black moment. I grew perplexed, assuming the worst.
